Re: Has anybody here received NEW defective music CD's. DVD movies or Blu-ray disc movies right out of the box?
I feel your experience is the exception not the rule. I can't recall ever having a defective BD and I have a large amount. I've even had good luck buying used from Red Box. However, I have always...

Re: To clock or not to clock?
Using the 10 MHz connection from DAC to clock won't do anything when using USB for the digital connection? I was thinking of adding a clock someday but only have USB as an option.

Re: Does the FM antenna that came with your tuner amp/stereo receiver suck?
Your connections are fine.
Do you use a streaming music service? If so and it's on your computer that's fine. You could also utilize the HEOS feature on your receiver. -

Re: Does the FM antenna that came with your tuner amp/stereo receiver suck?
OK, your receiver is stereo and 2.1 will be the best you can do for movies/TV. No auto set up or some of the other stuff I talked about. Sorry about that I should have checked the receiver sooner....

Re: Returning to the Roots of Musical Enjoyment
So, you are saying the worse the music sounds the better you enjoy it? You have always been some type of anti-audiophile I do feel your approach is rare but what works for you.

Re: Does the FM antenna that came with your tuner amp/stereo receiver suck?
Dolby-Tru HD/DTS-MA is only found on Flu-ray disks. They provide an uncompressed audio sound of the soundtrack. Your player will do what is called the first unfold but your receiver would need to...

Re: Does the FM antenna that came with your tuner amp/stereo receiver suck?
Seems I made a mistake on my prior post. I think I got HDR mixed up with the digital TV which is UHF but HDR still travels on the analog FM band. Here's a clip from Wiki
HD Radio (HDR)[1] is a... -

Re: Maggie's 30.7
I feel your question is ambiguous. Speakers are subjective to the individual. What I feel is a disaster may give you wood.
With that being said if looking for a panel speaker you should listen... -

Re: Does the FM antenna that came with your tuner amp/stereo receiver suck?
Does your Marantz have HD tuner? If so this is on the UHF band and you should look for a HD antenna. Stations in HD are very clear and it's either you receive it or not, no fuzzy in between. HD...

Seems you are getting good bass from what you say. I'd expect a suck out on the right being next to open way. I'm not an expert, I try to make my room symmetrical. You have a nice set up

Re: My new home entertainment system is under construction!
If the receiver didn't do this automatically during set up, have it check for firmware updates. The option will be inside the set up menu, I don't know where exactly to direct you for that.
