  1. Re: Clarisys Audio Studio Plus Install in Oregon

Looks like a Pass Labs lover, too!
  2. Re: I just tried to connect my new Sony stereo receiver to my Samsung Smart TV but a lttle trouble!

Take a look at the Schiit Modi ($129). It's a very small DAC that has one TOSLink optical input and one Coax input and RCA outputs you can connect to your receiver.
  3. Re: I just received my new STRDH190 Sony stereo receiver!

I have only shut down an amp one time, 30 years ago. That being said, I was playing the music very loud for an extended period of time.

I think you'll be just fine as long as you don't over-drive...

    Re: Decware

For me, I had made my purchase purely on the strength of the research I had done ... I had never actually heard the phono pre-amp. So, in some ways, canceling the order after waiting for a year was...

    Re: Decware

I put my order in for their phono pre-amp in May 2022. I canceled it in May 2023. Looking at their current order/wait list, had I kept the order "live", there are still about 700 orders before my...

    Re: Classical Music

You can consider classical music to be a lot like the progression of a meal -- you start out with something nice, have to put up with the yucky stuff, and eventually graduate to where you wanted to...
  9. Re: Does anyone care or worry about RF and other potential things bombarding us?

Did you not ask this question?

"Does anyone care or worry about RF and other potential things bombarding us?"

I suppose I could've just said, "No." and left it at that. I thought my response...

Compare it to? You give me too much credit, sir. I can only WISH I was that kind of audiophile.

Sadly, I live in a rather depressing audiophile desert when it comes to local dealers and brands...
  11. Re: Does anyone care or worry about RF and other potential things bombarding us?

I want to feel fully irradiated at all times. I sleep with my wireless router AND my 5G cellphone under my pillow every night. I heat up water in the microwave all throughout the day, even when I...

It's like any other endeavor you are new to. It will take time and exposure to discover what you like. I would suggest signing up for a Classical playlist on Tidal / Qobuz / Spotify /etc. and...

    Funny you should ask ...

I JUST received (as in yesterday) my new T+A DAC200 unit (with optional HDMI module capable of processing SACD over HDMI). I just hooked it up this morning, so I cannot...

    Re: Thoughts about Gentooplayer

Gentooplayer doesn't cost anything. If you reread the download page more closely, it says "donation", not "cost" or "payment". Additionally, it says "minimum donation".

    If you support what the...

Re: Hegel 590 Vs Gryphon Diablo 300

It feels like the author couldn't get past the price tags of the two competing products long enough to give them both a fair shake. When I got to his conclusion, let's just say I was not shocked.

    Re: T+a dac 200

There is a USB-B input, presumably from a device outputting a digital signal over a USB-A -> USB-B (such as a streamer). This does not require power. There is also a USB-A slot, but based on the...

    T+a dac 200

I'm very seriously considering upgrading to a new T+A DAC 200. From the research I've done so far and speaking to a number of dealers, it seems like the ideal next upgrade for my system.

    Re: Delivery day has arrived!

I have several Internet-based "radio stations" which I stream (anywhere from 128-320kbps) and I have to say, I'm often impressed at how good the sound quality can be.
