    Re: Rockport Orion

Orion fills the gap in between Cygnus and Lyra sharing design and technology from both while at the same time introducing some new things including that 13" carbon fiber woofer. It's also full range down to 20Hz.

    More to come

It's not a small amount of money but at this level who wouldn't spend an extra 30k for the Lyra?

I may have missed a price increase, I thought they were introduced at 150k and later went up to 169K. Is it aluminum pieces like the Lyra? It should be amazing!

Nice looking three-way speakers. It’s a shame they couldn’t manage to pull this off for under $100K.

My dealer just bought a pair. of Orions. He is a Rockport dealer. I'll take a listen once he gets it set up. I listened to the Lyras he had (powered by Doshi mono blocks) many times - was always impressed. Larry

Well, that's where Cygnus resides today being an end game speaker for most already

Saw the Orion in person at Munich..... it’s huge! The enclosure takes after the lyra as far as I know.
