The Denver show this year must have been very important for the ongoing promotion of MQA. Can anyone who attended comment on how prominent the new format was featured by exhibitors? More importantly, can you comment on your impressions of MQA sound quality? I remain skeptical whether the MQA format has much chance of gaining traction. Unless it is the SQ equivalent or better than DSD, then I am confident that audiophiles won't be seduced. I've heard mixed reactions to MQA SQ, but I haven't heard anyone (with the notable exception of Robert Harley) claim that MQA sounds better than DSD.

I heard MQA being played in 3 rooms.
One using the MSB Select DAC, YG speakers and MSB amps.
One using Brinkmann's Nyquist DAC and amps with ?? speakers.
In the Aurrender room using the A10 DAC.
In a couple of instances they compared the MQA version to the hi-rez PCM version, not sure if they ever compared to a DSD version. Then I don't believe DSD is better or worse than hi-rez PCM.Jim
