Re: Suncoast Audio adds Rega Turntables & Electronics
I have been intrigued with Rega’s latest low mass offerings with the P8 and P10.
Sounds like they are bringing excellent performance for a reasonable cost. Definitely great options if you want to enjoy vinyl and not have to fuss with set-up or arm choices etc.Buddy

Re: Suncoast Audio adds Rega Turntables & Electronics
Wonderful news! Rega is great brand. Congratulations, Mike!
I have the amazing Rega Planar 10 in presently for review at TAS.
I think setup took all of 10 minutes.
It is, in a word, a FANTASTIC performer.

Congrats Mike! Excellent quality and performance that won’t break the bank.
Years ago, 1980s - 1990s, I had a Linn LP12 with a Rega RB300 arm. It was a terrific combo._______________

Re: Suncoast Audio adds Rega Turntables & Electronics
It's about time you added a good turntable line, LOL. Just kidding.
I had a Rega P3 for many years, once it was set up I never had to do anything else until I moved to a Dynavector cart.
Our Rega distributor is also named Mike, if he also covers your area he is a great guy and a turntable guru.

Re: Suncoast Audio adds Rega Turntables & Electronics
I was a dealer for REGA back when the line was the Planar 2 & 3.
Simple set-up; perfectly reliable; good sound; and affordable. Never had ONE client who didn't like their Rega.
In fact, when they eventually moved up to a Linn or Goldmund, they usually kept their Rega.
After all, it was the turntable that originally made their music come alive.Small Green Computer; gigaFoil 4 Ethernet w/ Keces PS-3; Sonore ultraRendu; MBP (3) - stripped down for music only; Shunyata Alpha & Sigma USBs; AudioQuest Diamond USB 5M: ISO REGEN w/short Curious USB links; Berkeley Alpha USB; AQ Diamond AES - 3M; AQ Diamond Ethernet - 1.5M; Schiit Yggdrasil - fully updated; PecanPi USB dac; Ayre Codex dac - updated; Pass Labs INT-60 integrated amp; Wyred 4 Sound STP-SE-2 preamp, Quicksilver Mono 120 amps w/Tung-Sol KT150s; Wyred 4 Sound STP-750E Mk II amp w/Kimber TCX wiring & WBT binding posts; Quicksilver Mid Mono amps w/Gold Lion KT77s, Joseph Audio Perspective 2 Graphenes; Fyne Audio 703s; Symposium Svelte Plus & Ultra Platforms; REL S-812 subwoofers; Duelund DCA12GA speaker cables; AV Room Service EVPs, Stein Music Harmonizers, Duelund DCA16GA & 20GA ICs; Shunyata Denali 6000S/V2; Tripp Lite PCs; Wyred 4 Sound power cords; AudioDharma cable cooker; dedicated custom room; various GIK & ASC room treatments; etc.

Re: Suncoast Audio adds Rega Turntables & Electronics
I own planar 3 since early 90s, it’s awesome turntable. It’s connected to an old Naim and Rega Ella
Super little system, engaging, fast and maintenance free it installed in a small dining room next to Rega cookbook.
I think Rega is a fabulous company, good luck

Re: Suncoast Audio adds Rega Turntables & Electronics
So...I'm listening to the Rega Planar 10 tonight...various stuff. A mix of classical, rock, and jazz.
I gotta say, this turntable is FABULOUS. I frickin' love it. Its is exceptionally quiet, and superbly neutral. There is NO coloration with this TT and the Apheta 3. None. And gobs and gobs of detail with an solid, and weighty bottom-end. Soundstage width, breadth and height is excellent and image stability is outstanding.
Life is rough.
Tomorrow, the plan is to do an interview with...Roy Gandy. And, we're gonna talk...transfer functions.
