    Silly me ...im a digital guy and thought that mike was reporting on a R2R DAC incorporated into a Tape Deck. What? Digital reel-to-reel? Oh, yeah, sorry, i will move on...

    Reel to Reel recordings is the wave of the future. I foresee digital being gone and obsolete in a matter of five years.....

    what is needed even more are tapes... best i can tell current offerings are maybe as many as 2,000 titles. also old tapes / NOS are not that viable a solution either -- when did record companies stop putting out r2r tapes... 1970?

    if this ever changes, i will certainly get on board.
