    Unfortunately no. I was in Singapore this summer at the Soulution/Magico dealer listening to a Soulution rig and the Magico S3s. I mentioned that I use a Devialet with my Magicos and he said he likes the idea behind the Devialet and that Soulution is working on a similar integrated.

    And yes the power stage is Class D. I know that it may spur some prejudice as some will question the performance of Class_D, as it may be deemed unpure or not analog. Yet with the latest types of mosfets dead-time is for audio-frequencies, and well beyond that, a NON issue. Class D has come a long way..

    Normally High End components are mainly seen as separates, a separate stand-alone RiAA stage, a standalone DAC, a separate preamplifier 7vomlume control and finally a separate Power amplifier. The main driving idea behind the U-300 was to unite these four normally separate elements into one unified product. The means to do so was also to unify the knowledge of some of the most skilled and knowledgeable people in our strong network, forming a truly unique unity of minds and skillsets.

    Elements
    phono-stage:
    RIAA correction curve; Gain 63dB;
    Input; floating 1 set RCA, Load-impedance from 70 Ohm to 10 KOhm;
    Frequency response: +/-0.15dB (20-20KHz) noise<-100dB re @ 2V out. Distortion <0.01% (20-20KHz)
    The Phono-stage features a super low noise floating discrete BJT input stage, it is extremely quiet and will work well with even the lowest output Mc cartridges on the market.
    DAC
    Inputs; 2xRCA SPDIF (32 – 192 K-samples, 24 bit)
    2xTOS-link optical (32 – 96 K-samples, 24 bit)
    1x USB Fully isolated UAC 2 asynchron (PCM 32 – 192Ksamples, 24 bit)

    Preamplifier/volume control
    Selectable Input; RiAA, 3xLine RCA; 5xdigital; gain individually adjustable 3, 6, 9db on each input
    Volume adjustable from -100 dB to 0 dB in 80 1dB steps.
    Power Amplifier
    Power: >300W 8Ohm, >600W 4ohm @ 0.1% distortion
    Distortion: <0.005% (THD+N: 1-100W/8ohm) IMD<0.0008% TIM<0.002% (10W 8-ohm)
    Michael,

    I am excited to get more feedback on your latest wonder. Very curios about damping factor(output impedance), slew rate and how you are handling negative feedback. Additional stats would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Aavik U-300 Unity Amplifiers

    The €24000 U-300 has been reviewed in the latest issue of the German magazine Stereo.

    Some measured specs:

    Max power 8/4 ohm - 265/526 watt, impulse power 4 ohm 712 watt.
    Distortion at 5 watt and max power - 0,005% and 0,3%.
    Damping factor at 4 ohm - 350

    And sound quality is 100%.
