I've resumed my adult piano lessons. One motivator for practice is quarterly recitals with other students.
I'm really into a racket sports like tennis and pickleball. Pickleball is a recent discovery in the last year and something that I can play with my wife. It is played on a surface about 1/2 the size of a tennis court. Lot of fun!
Family, guitar playing, golf, biking, cooking and a PhD when I'm otherwise bored.

I live near a 32-mile long dedicated bike trail. It follows a trout and salmon river. Deer, wild turkeys, coyotes, rattle snakes, and every few years, a stray mountain lion.
I was into golf (average of 100 rounds a year) and aqua hobby before I got into audio.
still has a 1,360 gal aquarium with 10 adult asian arowanas, rarely golfing since my best bud and golf partner died in 2006
is car detailing considered a hobby? I sometimes spend an entire day doing this
Lets see, fishing all kinds be it freshwater, saltwater either fly and/or conventional. Landscape Photography, making wild attempts at Golf, classic cars with 3 other partners. Walking on the beach with the wife
Au contraire, Locking pedals are almost mandatory. Without being locked in, the riders foot can easily fall off on the down stroke. At which point they run over their leg and crash. Quite humorous to those watching. Not so much for the hapless rider. Without being locked in the rider needs to expend a lot of energy and attention keeping their feet on the pedals. That is not efficient or safe.
My bent is horrible climbing but wicked on the downhills. I call it my land luge.
You see, I did not fully understand the concept. But I do agree that on my Cannondale I would not like to bike without locking pedals.

I’ve dabbled in many hobbies like shooting sports, salt water coral/fish aquariums, photography, motorcycles, cars, watch collecting and a few others but life long hobbies are Audio and building Radio Control models such as Helicopters, Airplanes, cars, etc. I love to assemble and “wrench” on model stuff and electronics in general. Since my audio rig is in the basement, I enjoy music while building models :)
In Line Skating
Cross Country Skiing and Snow Shoeing
Cooking
Visiting Micro Breweries
Gardening
Running, going to the gym, playing guitar and as of resent going back to playing golf.
Here is the readers digest version:
I have worked with people In the music industry for the past 33 years. I buy all the "souvenirs" they have acquired over the course of their careers (Gold Records, Autographed Guitars etc) and I find new homes for the ones I don't want. Over 9000 Gold Records to date and counting. You can check out my spoils on the Facebook page RIAA AWARD COLLECTORS.
I have a collection of over 5000 NFL Football games on DVD going back to the early 1970's...many complete with all commercials. I had Hundreds of games from the 1970's/Early 80's (On VHS) smuggled out of the CBS Vaults in New Jersey.
I am an avid Fantasy Football Player. Need to fill a spot in a competitive online draft league? Send me a PM with details.
I have lots of Stereo Equipment that I have never used or taken out of the sealed boxes. Its neater that way.
I collect Homeless (Feral) Cats and try to domesticate them.
In the past....I owned a Baseball Card/Comic Book store in the 1980's located on the infamous Route 9 (Born To Run) in New Jersey.
Primary Hobbies are Audio and Fitness.
I am going to start Kayaking on Puget Sound, Washington USA.

I'm also into cycling (100+ mi/wk), table tennis (intermediate player), and pickleball (novice). I also spend a lot of time studying personal finance/investing. High-end audio is my meditation.

Boating and fishing over the last few years but I just sold my boat since everything is catch and release here in Tampa Bay due to the red tide problems as of late.
I travel a lots with the wife and have done lots of nature photography. 2 trips to Africa and 2 trips to Antarctica are the highlights. I even owned my own camera store and photo lab back in Marietta Ga. for over 15 years.
I have done the saltwater fish tank and RC airplanes bit. Also dabbled with golf and tennis till I ripped both rotators. I love hobbies......never bored.
Music and guitar playing were my first hobbies and most consuming and enduring.
Used to love playing chess and collecting coins and stamps as a youngster......yep I was on the nerdy side.
For the last 3 months its been nothing but golf. :disbelief:
Yoga, biking and sourdough bread baking. Sadly running and golf not enough time or cartilage.
Walking and still "some" shooting. Use to do IDPA, USAPA, and 3-Gun (Tactical) but the eyes are getting older now ...
Also do some cycling...

The pandemic stopped my martial arts hobby (hopefully it will resume soon). In the meantime, I took up shooting firearms at the range.

Golf with a shotgun (Sporting Clays), more of my passion actually.
As a 3rd generation and lifelong railroader some collecting has gotten in my blood, my cigar ashtray I made from a spent locomotive piston and part of my lantern collection .....
I’m always impressed with the sheer size of those locomotive pistons.

A New Year's resolution is to start learning guitar.
When I was younger, I studied classical ballet assiduously for 10 years (class 4-5X/week).
When I quit ballet, I took up motorcycle road racing (and track days).
Nice. Looks like you're pretty serious about your photography.
Something I'd recommend is checking out Greg Benz' Dodging and Burning course using luminosity masking. I've learned a lot from it and luminosity masking is one of the most important photographic techniques I've learned in the last 10 years.

Yup...two sides of the same coin: extremely fine neuromuscular control while moving through space. :P

1) World Travel is #1. Covid is killing me!
2) Road Cycling for over 50 years. Many great exploits when I was younger. Now a little bit more of a social thing.
3) Food & Wine. Sadly, my tolerance for alcohol has diminished somewhat, and my wife is getting more than half the bottle. Who's hobby is this anyway?
4) Financial Markets. Was my job for several years. Now reading about it is mostly just for fun. Thankfully, don't need help managing money (or spending it!).
