Devialet internal PCM 40 bit/384kHz processing bitrate
I asked Devialet how it handles the "Devialet internal PCM 40 bit/384kHz processing bitrate," If the PCM 1792 DAC chip in the Experts are limited to 24bit/192khz?
Answer:
In all our Expert units, we use one 1792 chip per channelallowing a doubled bandwidth compared to stereo designs employing only onechip.

Good to know. Thanks for the info.
In my setup, I think the Devailet playback of DSD is not as good as PCM.

FYI: The first thing the Devialet does is convert the DSD to PCM as it's entire DSP engine including volume control depends on it. I assume you feel something is lost in the conversion?

The 384kHz reference has been removed from the website and I think was wrong, everything is done in 192.
