That sounds amazing.
Sounds great but I prefer the Soulution 725/711 combo to anything in their 5 Series. I used to own the 520/501 and the 7 Series is on an entirely different level in my opinion.
Ken
The best sound from Magico´s i have ever heard.
Hard to say from my phone but having listened to most of Jay’s YT demonstrations, especially those with the Alex and Boulder monos, this system sounds more analytical, less warm. Might be good, might be bad. I would have to hear them both live to know.
Have had several Soulution/ Magico combos, and it’s a good synergy if you like the sound signature.
Don’t quite understand the pairing though, 160K speakers with a 30K amp.

Maybe he is trying to show what a really good set of speakers do for a system.
I'm sure it would sound great, but not optimized. The pedigree of the electronics, whilst admirable, is not in the same orbit as the speakers.
...an 8 hour drive doesn't even get me close to the State border!
Well, I'd think the better audition would be with those Pass Labs monoblocs. Or do you have that combo in your own shop? Did you take along an Esoteric XD for source comparison?
Hmm Jay already had Boulder in a setup not very long ago , but its interesting what Jay is doing.
On one of his recent videos, he asks the question, is it ideal to own "better" speakers and lesser electronics ? Or, tier1 electronics and lesser speaker?
That being said, I'd guess that brought his decision to purchase the M6 rather than Alexx V or XVX.
He probably sold/traded in the Boulder Monos and Alexx for the M6 and a stereo boulder amp. (My guess)
He obviously is a guy who is passionate and has the financial resources to be such a gear swapper.
The one component that has been consistent has been his source. The Rossini DAC +Clock.
In the end, I think he will settle with Boulder +M6 combo.
For a while at least...
Mike’s featured pretty prominently on Jay’s channel. Very nice, Mike!

Thanks for the kind words. It was one of those interviews where I was driving home after a long day thinking “what did I even say? I can’t remember!” We were up at 5:15am and gone to Miami first to remove a pair of M3’s from a condo for a customer in Miami moving into a new house. With traffic, it was a good 5 hours each way. The customer had thrown away everything - crates, bolts, everything, so we using all new stuff.
Then we made our way to Ft Lauderdale area where Jay lives.
I then got back around 10pm and did a demo! No joke! I had a guy from Naples drive up to audition speakers at 10pm on Saturday night after I’d been up since 5am and 10 hours of driving, installs, move, etc. I’m sitting there at 10pm thinking “is there any other dealer in America working harder?” Or maybe I should have been thinking “is there any dealer in America crazy enough to do this all in one day?” Ha! And yes, he bought something, so all good.
Here’s a few pics from our first job Saturday. We had to move the speakers out of his condo to the basement so we could work properly.

It’s like with everything in life Mike: talent is only useful, if you use it. Most people don’t want to endure the trouble of being very good at something, and unfortunately remain average. But at least the guy bought something.
The M3s are still beauties, and sound the part.

I don’t see Jay ‘settling’ on anything as it seems he is trying to make money off his YT channel and by offering consultant services on equipment and setup. Bringing in so many different types of equipment serves to keep us all coming back to his channel and gives him more experiences with various combinations.
Really wish he could have landed a pair of Aida II...
How long before Jay moves to a new set of speakers? 2 or 3 weeks :D
dealers like Mike must luv Jay.
Those crates look about the same as my S5 crates, and I have to admit I am getting tired of looking at them in my garage. I will give them another 10 years, and then look out.
Well i think we can learn a lot from Jay , all of us who can't afford swapping gear like he can, and prior to Youtube hw was on a forum ( Audiogon ) telling about his findings , so going youtube just makes things more easy to understand what he mean / thinks about different combinations of gear. One can always try to explain in written words but it will never be the same as to listen to youtube.....and yes youtube is not perfect as one has to be in the actual room with the actual gear at that moment , to hear and understand what's really going on. I at least think its great to have someone like Jay doing this stuff.
Saw the video. Well spoken [emoji3].
You really seemed to like the Pass amps.

Moon 888. That’s my wild guess on which monster amps Mike brought to Jay .... the M6’s look stunning!

Well, here is my first post ever on any forum outside of my thread on audiogon which has been running for over 4 years now.
I have dedicated over 4 years of my life to trying some of the best components money can buy and i am grateful each and every day for having this opportunity.
I am glad that you all are following me and enjoying my videos.
Mike has been great at giving me gear advice as well as his own input on different topics (not just audio related). He's been quite instrumental to say the least.
Thank you all for the support and be on the lookout for more comparisons that nobody else does.
When I started my journey i had a vision in mind which was to do what NOBODY else does on social media: To give my personal opinion based on actual ownership of some of the finest audio components PLUS giving you all the ability to join me and also listen to a piece of what i hear in my room.
I couldn't do it all without the support from you all. Without you all, there wouldn't be Jay's audio lab.

Great to have you here Jay!
Thanks Buddy !
Welcome to the Shark Jay!
Welcome Jay! We met at FL Expo last year. We both had lunch at the bar with Mike and a few other guys.
Thank you !
Love your videos, Jay! Keen subscriber here.....
Cheers....Sujay
Good to have you, Jay. Please keep sharing your experiences.
I agree, taking a look at gear from an actual ownership perspective is very interesting for many of us, whilst we’re progressing on our own journeys.

Outside the circle of professional reviewers and dealers only very few of us can have a meaningfull opinion of the relative quality difference of various components - IMO. We listen to set ups at hifi shows with unknown rooms, unknown music and inknown components - for me at least I can honestly say that it would not make any real difference if they use the biggest or smallest Constellation or D'Agostino amps for example.
Agree with Kuoppis here - I value the opinion of owners with a history of different set ups with real comparisons.
BTW - Now I know why Mike was posting on the Aurender thread in the middle of the night!
Happy Easter everyone

Welcome to the Forum Jay , great to have you.
