Received 2nd Covid shot today
Had the second Pfizer COVID shot this morning, and sure hope this is it. At 71 I don't feel like spending the rest of my life at home. I am even tired of my stereo, but I do plan to celebrate tonight. Anyway, I hope everyone is okay, and we soon get back to normal.

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
I’ve been lucky too. Second shot last month. Just felt a little tired for a couple of days. Mom never takes anything, so I feel better hoping I don’t bring the virus home.

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
I'm still waiting for my first. I don't come up on the list for another 2or3 weeks. I'm 67

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
Just got my 1st shot of Maderna today. I sure do hope this will all be behind us soon.

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
Vaccine 1st shot opens you up to Toobs , the second shot supports class D .....!

I guess I was given a placebo both times as I have no interest in early 20th century technology. :)
However, I can see the advantages of class D, but I knew that before the shots.

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
Had my first Moderna 12 days ago and each day, the Purifi amp facilitating my first taste of Class D is sounding so much better! Now hearing crystalline highs and thundering bass.

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
I had my first vaccine yesterday - Pfizer. Had a slight headache last night. All good this AM.
-
Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
Had my 2nd shot on January 30 (Pfizer). Other than a mildly sore arm (and less than the flu shot), no major issues.
-
Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
Congrats. My 91 year old mom had her 2nd Moderna shot on March 2nd and did well. Only tired for two days. I get the second Moderna shot on the 31st and my wife her second Pfizer on the 28th. My son who is an essential worker as a food safety chemist got the J and J on the 9th. It did wipe him out for 12 hours though. So we made it though the Covid vaccine hunger games after countless hours on line.

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
I suppose my Travel days are going to be over. I will not be getting the Experimental Biological Injection unless the USA becomes like Israel. Unfortunately, the way this works is that those who get the shots will then become the super spreaders to those of us who do not but with the 99.9X recovery rate, I will take my chances.
Lots of luck now and into the future to all of you that went thru with this.

Brian, You are missing an essential point of getting most people vaccinated. That stops the spread and mutation to different strains.

From my research, A- it is not a Vaccine because it kills nothing. It alters your DNA so your Immune System deals with it so you do not get/feel the Symptoms. However, people who get the shots will still be able to carry and transmit the disease. Otherwise there would be no need to wear a mask and social distance AFTER you got the So Called Vaccination. Not sure why more people are not questioning this.
A good friend of mine's wife got her second Moderna shot and it put her in the hospital with instant Diabetes and sugars over 800. Not just a coincidence.
I really don't want to get into an argument here in this thread, I am just hoping that everyone who is onboard has the best of luck.
I personally do not trust any of this after watching several documentaries about Gates, the UN, the WHO and other NGOs and where the money goes and for what. Also all the fallout from previous Gates "Vaccines" tested on children in India and Africa.

Maybe you're unclear about how vaccines work. They don't kill anything.

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
We have had both of our Pfizer shots and over two weeks has passed since the last shot. No side affects save for about 24 hours of a slightly sore shoulder.
As more people continue to get vaccinated people getting sick from the nose and mouth as being the major contributor will now switch the to A__Ho__.

not looking for an argument either ...but, the record needs to be corrected for anyone reading this thread and, heaven forbid, using it to guide their medical decisions.
1) as stated above vaccines do not work by killing a virus. they train / pre-condition the body's immune system to fight the disease.
2) vaccines dot NOT alter your DNA.
wikipedia: A vaccine is a biological preparation that provides active acquired immunity to a particular infectious disease. A vaccine typically contains an agent that resembles a disease-causing microorganism and is often made from weakened or killed forms of the microbe, its toxins, or one of its surface proteins. The agent stimulates the body's immune system to recognize the agent as a threat, destroy it, and to further recognize and destroy any of the microorganisms associated with that agent that it may encounter in the future.[/I]
3) it is INCORRECT to imply causality of background disease with a vaccine. this is exactly what happened in the EU where background cases of blood clots (which occur to a certain percentage of the population, especially the elderly) were erroneously attributed the the astrazenica vaccine causing countries to stop vaccination and throwing the whole EU vaccination program into chaos.

Your Wikipedia blurb does not cover mRNA injections, which are not Vaccines.
"they train / pre-condition the body's immune system to fight the disease." - They also stop you from spreading it but the new mRNA injections do not. Why are you still wearing a mask if you already got "Vaccinated"?

again, to correct the record... from the CDC web-site:
New Approach to Vaccines
mRNA vaccines are a new type of vaccine to protect against infectious diseases. To trigger an immune response, many vaccines put a weakened or inactivated germ into our bodies. Not mRNA vaccines. Instead, they teach our cells how to make a protein—or even just a piece of a protein—that triggers an immune response inside our bodies. That immune response, which produces antibodies, is what protects us from getting infected if the real virus enters our bodies.

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
I'm not experiencing any effects from the second Pfizer dose different from the first dose. My arm is a little sore, but nothing bad. I am a little tired today, but I was up until 3AM listening to music, and drinking beer.

Why still wear a mask?
Because your vaccination may not work against the next new variant.

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
I had my second Pfizer COVID shot at 9:13 Wednesday morning. So far NO issues with side effects. .

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
Why even post in this thread if you don’t believe in vaccine or can’t get the facts straight? Smh

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
I’ve filled out every form possible to get mine. The waiting continues. My friend in Sarasota, Mike Chaffee died from Covid, so I’m anxiously waiting for my vaccine to avoid the same fate. Mike was a body builder, hardcore audiophile and a great guy.

My sister had both shots In Jan, I keep asking her if there are horns growing on her forehead yet?... she says NO 🤔
Mike
So Sorry about your friend and all the other folks who died because of this.
I had the last one a decade ago, whatever it was called Sars or Mers ?... it was a bitxx, like having been beaten by those WWF guys, couldn’t walk, dry coughs etc., and it was like that for 45 days straight...
Sure as hell don’t wanna try this one, whatever jive the right wing conspiracists mumble...

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
for anyone interested further in the new mRNA vaccines and the history of the technology behind their development, the new book by walter isaacson, code breaker, is a fantastic read. the science is just brilliant...
The Code Breaker | Book by Walter Isaacson | Official Publisher Page | Simon & Schuster
had the 1st jab of the moderna vaccine a week ago -- no issues other than the mild symptoms lasting ~12 hrs that many have reported.
fwiw: when my age group opened up last week, appointments available at the state vaccine site were 6 weeks out. however, i was able to get an appointment at walgreens the next day and was assured an mRNA / 2-jab vaccine.

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
very very glad for everyone who was scared to death for such a long period and now, hopefully!, will get a new free life. enjoy it!!!!!
if you are unsure to do the shot as longterm sideafects are unknown, let me tell you:
right now i have blue hands, blue-red-black leg, vene infection, headache, didnt shit for days, eye-hairs dissapered. the worst is the heart, feels as it will stop every moment.
hospital filled me up with bloodthinners. color on the leg is getting better, so i think i ll survive.
the message here is, get your shots as soon as possible.

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
I am sorry, but when I read people saying I did my research, I think of Facebook and You Tube which are not the most reliable sources of information. What’s next, do your research, the earth is flat?

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
I got my first Moderna shot on 3/2. No side affects except the shot location was sore for a couple of days and I had a mild reddening of the area. It did not even itch. 2nd shot is scheduled for 3/30. :yahoo1:

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
I didn't understand your post, is your current health issues from Covid, the shot or unrelated to either?

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
well, my father just died from covid and my 3 sons were coughing for weeks.
been all day around them but we never tested. the doctor is very convinced it is covid or longcovid.
i got tested before yesterday in the clinic but left before the result.
it certainly wasnt the shot as i wont get any before summer.

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
I don't drive an working from home so I really don't get out much, my wife does the shopping. My cousin died in Jan. we were only one day apart in age. I attended his funeral. I ended up with the virus. The funeral is the only placeI can figure I would have gotten it. I did maskup and use hand sanitizer, but maybe I touched my face or particles made it through my mask.
I was fortunate that I didn't get it bad, I had a bad head cold, headaches, and felt like I had fallen off a building, I recovered in a week or less. My wife's turned into pneumonia and had us worried for awhile.
I am not close to vaccination yet. Our Republican state is rolling it out in waves and sending the shots to rural areas and not enough to the cities. The rural areas are having shots left over so some people are driving for hours to get them. I'm just being patient, let those who are out more and hav more need get it first.
-
Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
feeling like fallen of a building, yes!!
glad you recovered so quickly. this morning i was about 80% sure that i am going to die today. i didnt so far and feel better every hour now. even went walking in the afternoon.
would be interesting to know where you cought it. very unlikely by just touching you face once or twice.
may be inside church due to aerosol, may be your wife brought it home.
i always feel sorry for people who did take care a lot and still caught it.
myself i tried to take care but was helpless. my wife doesnt care about, she is one of them who says it doesnt exist:)
my 4 childreen go everywhere, scool, friends, party. it was just a question of time.

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
spent 1 day in the clinic and they gave me infusions i dont know what it was. breathing is not too bad so i could leave.
at home i have to take strong bloodthinners and some powder for the stomach. and some tea tree oil for the funny spots on the body. thats all.
-
Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
Really sorry about your dad. You'd think that would have wised up yur wife.
Hoping a speedy recovery for you.

Re: Received 2nd Covid shot today
Also,in my wife's case they treated the symptoms of the pneumonia, breathing treatments, antibiotics and something for cough. You probably have to be in ICU before receiving some of the drugs we hear about for the actual virus, would be my guess.
