Pointers for Pittsburgh PA
Lived in PA my whole life but have never been to Pittsburgh. Looking to book a trip early next year when this passes.
What are the nicer neighborhoods or areas to stay? Why? (for some reason any place called The Shady Side makes me think North Philly:))
What are the better Hotels? Any with a good water view?
How is parking and getting around?
Tips on Pubs, restaurants and breweries - wineries appreciated.
Thanks!

I've never seen a double post in the same post before.

Brian, wait till next years baseball season starts, PNC field offers one of 'the' best cityscapes in the country. Over the years I've stayed across the river on the Monongahela side, great vernacular ride up the ridge offering dinning/nite life overlooking the city. Hotels their offer water taxi rides to the ball park

If these things are open, I would check out the Heinz Museum and Tower of Learning at University of Pittsburgh. Both are really enjoyable.

Don’t forget the Warhol museum. And Primanti’s in the strip district For great sandwiches with French fries on them and The Original in Oakland for classic hot dogs.
