Los Angeles Audio Show June 2018
June 8-10, 2018 in Irvine, CA. Highly recommended. A large, well organized show.
I doubt this list is final.

Re: Los Angeles Audio Show
yeah, I don't think that list is final as well. I plan on attending so far. Last yr was great show. "The Show" was supposed to return this year but don't know what happened to it.

I think you are talking about The Show in Newport which is supposed to be scheduled a week earlier than the LAAS.

Devg,
Thank you for the information. I had not heard about T.H.E. Show Newport returning. I opened the link but there is very little information. No exhibitor list.

Re: Los Angeles Audio Show
Exhibitor list looking a bit small honestly

Yes, many of the usual suspects and So Cal locals are missing.

Yeah, weird. I hope they add soon. I can't do two back to back shows, so the exhibitor list is very much desired at this point.

Re: Los Angeles Audio Show
LAAS has been canceled. Major bummer.
Still no exhibitor list for T.H.E Show Newport Beach.

Los Angeles Audio Show
The west coast gong show continues. What a shame. They have an amazing market there and just can’t get it going. Ditto for New York’s show.
Maybe we need a Florida show...in the winter. In January or February when people up north are freezing their butts off. Something small to start out with like the Lonestar show. Something cost effective with some out of the box thinking. An alternative to the dying CES for audio. Hmmm....who would be the right person? Who do I know in Florida? Uhhh...wait...
Stay tuned friends...[emoji41].
I’ve been working on this with a few friends for a while now.

It would need to be in Orlando at the Convention center or near there Disney, in order to get a buy in from the spouses and if any children are involved they get to hang out at Disney for a few days. Hey its only money . :D

And what does that make Busch Gardens, BEACHES, etc, chopped liver? :)
Disney in Feb, good luck with those crowds!
Chris, you need to get over this way more often....

NYC has been desolate since the Sterophile shows a decade ago. Newport was the best show in the US until the split two years back. They ruined it for everyone because of politics and greed.
Marine isn’t a business person and frankly needs one for a show to be successful.

Well, the good news is Axpona did apparently record well this year, the Lonestar show this weekend quickly sold out their initial block and had to add more rooms. So the shows not afflicted by personal drama seem to be doing just fine.
Did I mention we have beaches here? ;)

Re: Los Angeles Audio Show
Again, we are only seeing one side of the story. What happened to T.H.E. Show last year? Without knowing all the details, it seems to me if those producers had their act together, LAAS would never have happened. We still do not know how it came to pass that there were two competing shows.

Re: Los Angeles Audio Show
The little Fremer ramblings really do not tell the story. None of us or even the little great one himself ( Fremer) knows the battles and personal hardship this woman is going through with her divorce. Maybe she thought she could handle it and maybe she was so overwhelmed she broke drown, could be mentally and even financially. For those that have been through a divorce, you just might know whats she is going through. But she melted and failed to ask for help. Her bad.

Re: Los Angeles Audio Show
This hurt me big time. I had a shopping list for LAAS. Now it is just a list. Two major speaker manufacturers I wanted to visit are not currently scheduled for T.H.E. Show. I contacted them individually since there is no exhibitor list currently published. But hey, the show is a month away. No need to hurry and publish useful information. I an not filled with confidence toward the management team. The timing and location suck for me anyway.

I have been divorced for 17 years! About her melting down during a divorce, I have zero sympathy for her present situation. Take the pain and deal with it! My mind was jelly but yet still mamaged to drag my ass to the fire station and run calls day and night! The key words in your post is, "ask for help" that is how you get thru the rough times ahead.

Re: Los Angeles Audio Show
Audio shows are more important than personal relationships like marriage and religion.
The show must go on, no matter what. They can take away all our guns but they can't take away our Blues.
