Receptacle direction
How do people install their receptacle to handle heavy power cords from the likes of Shunyata?
I remember Mike saying to install them up side down in one of the videos. But what is up side down? Ground at the top or bottom?

Ground at the top is the way to go.
Although that orientation is preferable, it has its limits for holding a bulky power cable. One might consider the Block Audio locking outlet covers that Mike at Suncoast Audio sells. I use them and never have to worry about less than an ideal connection. Another option is the Furutech NCF booster or booster-brace also sold by Suncoast. I found I needed the NCF booster to keep my power cable properly seated at the component IEC.

Another option is the AQ NRG Edison 20 (with the ground pin on top as recommended above), which grips like no other.

There are good reasons for mounting the receptacle Ground pin UP.
By the way, there are no 'NEC' or 'UL' rules about the Ground pin location.
There are good reasons for mounting the receptacle Ground pin DOWN.
Like right angle plugs and some some accessories like a 'Kill-a-Watt' have a top & bottom.

I don't have any right angle plugs. My electrician suggested ground pin on top before I voiced the preference. For me, this is the right way.
