I'm a believer
Not going into details (we could be here all day) but bought a Furman PS-8D to see if it would silence my Velleman amp (a lifelong trannie buzz problem and right speaker buzz). Both very low but I KNEW they were there and teams of experts could not get this thing beyond the great strides we made when I first bought her and renovated.
DEAD QUIET. My Trannie buzz must have been dirty power...and of course that translated to the speaker buzz..again..you had to put your ear there but why have that at all?
The FURMAN not only corrected that but NOW I truly understand BLACK background...wow...MAIN RIG: Equipment: Marantz SR4023 as Pre / Velleman K4040 Tube Power Amp / Yamaha M65 Power Amp / Polk Monitor 70's with Polk Sub / ClearAudio Concept table with Musical Surroundings Phonomena II Phono Stage and ClearAudio Concept MC cart /Pioneer PL500 TT with AT440MLa

Re: I'm a believer
Thanks Nelson...more than I want to spend right now (I am on a capacitor OCD run right now...LOL). I just use the old method, wet my fingers. touch a few points and if I tingle, there is power..LOL...Just kidding.
Just want to clarify, I constantly reference OCD but just so people know, its not a bad type of OCD. In other words things don't have to be aligned, forks on this side, banana's on that. My OCD has to do with being very goal, project oriented. A trigger flips and its off to the races.
For example, someone says something about bi-wire - zing, I have now read 72 articles and bought 3 different types of wire to try...LOL. I didn't do that but the OCD has been a blessing and a curse all my life. I have been in technology (fortune 500 computing) for 34 years. So when I worked in operations, programming, etc. you know who was the bits and bytes expert. Same with learning to play an instrument. Building computers from scratch. Starting a video business. Now its audio.
In audio, I am way down on the novice food chain but I went from nothing to building turntables from scratch...and working on tons in between. That is why I ask a lot of questions from people who KNOW what they are talking about.
Okay, so Nelson's eyes just glazed over reading this (as did everyone else) but thought I would explain.
Oh and if he would like to work on my tube amp..be happy to send shipping both ways...LOL
