I remember fondly visiting then Naim factory when Julian Vereker was still with us.
The demo room still looks the same as does the factory floor.
After showing me around Julian says the demo room sounds like crap, so he would take me to his place for some real music after we went for a bite to eat. We got into his British racing green Jag and drove extremely fast to a nearby pub. Had a great lunch and a few beers, then we drove to his house - even faster
Spend a wonderful few of hours listening to music, drinking and chatting about most things audio, including the famous Linn/Naim split. I remember vividly that we played New Order extremely loud before he dropped me back at my hotel. I was quite drunk by then.
A wonderful man was Julian Vereker and Naim are a wonderful hifi company.
