Its a good tribute, i got the RSD vinyl.

However, no tribute would be complete without Judas Priest's cover of The Green Manalishi; played at 11 while hot boxing in friend's '73 Camaro before 1st period in HS...those were the days

Second album I have by these guys. Sonic Rade is a trio out of Switzerland that produce some very good rock music, but the kicker is they record in DSD256. Two of the best sounding rock albums I have heard!

By the way, available at NativeDSD.

Re: What are you listening to tonight ?

Now for something different. A metal rock band made up of 5 brothers and sisters... Ages 13 to 21. Don't let that fool you... they are surprising.. her voice is insane... They were playing on Santa Monica pier every Saturday... they were asked to stop playing because the crowds were getting too large...here is an album of covers that will blow you away... and their first full length album release!!!

By the way, their band name is Liliac.

Continuing down the something different road... Nightwish is a rock band from Finland that leans toward rock opera themes.... this one they combine with a 53-piece orchestra... pretty amazing stuff!

Close the evening out with Evanescence new album and Norah Jones's new live album.

    Bitter.jpgNorah.jpg

And this is what happens when I put the vinyl away and playing around with my digital. By the way, the last three I do also have the vinyl but switching to digital for the night led me to some experimenting .

I hope you enjoyed my evening adventure as much as I did!

Re: What are you listening to tonight ?

It is pretty good. Typical Evanescence. First listen, songs you have never heard before; good bass, nice guitar licks, good beat, Amy Lee's beyond amazing voice... and the more you listen to it the more you find some songs running around in your head. And then you hear most of the songs all day in your head. Pretty much like all of their albums so far .

I have all of their albums, and all but two (second album and the live album) also in vinyl.

Listened to this while mowing grass and weeds this morning.
I finished and came in to my music room to play it again.
I highly recommend this Shelby Lynne album.
