I always loved the sound of the original, that is until I recently heard the 2018 Re-mix streaming at 24/192 on Qobuz. It was always one of my favorite Pink Floyd albums, and since it came out while I was in high school, I wore out the album more than once and I know it pretty well. But this remixed version is just spectacular (and this is only on the desktop). I'll try fooling around with upsampling to DSD through the LUMIN App and T2 later, but I can only expect it to be amazing.

I have the cd of this version (just got it a few days ago and I was blown away) and I listen to it with my Ayon player on DSD 256 (it converts PCM to DSD) and the digital filter set to "flat." I have listened to it at least 8 times in the last week. It's crazy good. Let us know what you discover with your settings.

I gave the 2018 remix a listen tonight. Definitely a great recording, albeit also definitely a different mix, which changes the song from original in ways you may or may not like. Personally I think I like the original mix, but it’s of course what I’ve grown accustomed to.

Not sure if the Discovery Edition is any different of a recording from other of the original mix, but to me it seems to sound a little punchier.

I had to force myself to stay up till 2AM last night as my wife's flight was delayed coming in due to weather.

So I took a page out of Mike's playbook on what music to listen to in order to stay up (Mike - I can't remember if we include you talking about how much you love Abba in my last video with you).

That's right, the new FYNE AUDIO speakers need a lot of burn-in Over the weekend they were running continuously for about 14 hours a day, and the sound is getting better every day...

Otherwise, I am listening to this excellent progressive rock from Romania right now, I would say that this album can be considered a reference recording in terms of sound quality
