just when one thinks it is no longer possible to be amazed or surprised...

the blue note catalog just keeps giving and giving and giving: jackie mclean | destination...out!

brilliant in it's sparseness and warm tonality, this one also gets a "most highly recommended"

if you're grillin' you need to be chillin' ...this comes just in time for today's 21C / 70F temps and some much welcome time out on the backyard terrace [adhering to socially distant / isolated practices, of course]

Re: What are you listening to tonight ?

A couple of recommendations to me, one from a friend and one from my grandson, I did listen to them so will present them for you.

Dirty Loops; Loopified This is a group of studio musicians who formed a group that has a Funk driven type of Pop sound, think most current Bruno Mars but DL has a killer rhythm section.

Fear and Lothing in Las Vegas; Hypertoughness. And several tracks from New Sunrise. This is my grandson's rec.
You have to check this band out just to experience the sound. They are a Japanese band who has fused EDM with Metal and a splash of Pop, you have to listen though because as hard as you imagine the sound I don't think you can. Also, the songs transition quickly within a song so I recommend giving an entire track a listen to get it.
