What Vinyl Do You Have On The Table?

The Fall ‎– The Light User Syndrome - 1996 Jet records - an underrated Fall album - considering the long play time, this is one of the better sounding Fall albums.

DIIV ‎– Deceiver - 2019 - don't you just luv a slow burner album - this is one of them. DIIV have always been a nice shoegaze band but this album brings a bit of bite and aggression not seen in previous albums - has My Bloody Valentine / Jesus and Marychain wall of guitar fuzz which is so damn enticing - 5 stars.

great album -- one that should definitely be heard on vinyl.

if interested, the two part Laurel Canyon series on EPIX has a nice segment on CSN(Y) and it details how that album cover was shot. very nice series and MUCH better than the one shown on netflix: echo in the canyon, IMO

Good to know and I want to see Laurel Canyon after seeing it advertised, but never heard of EPIX.

eipx is basically the same as HBO, NFLX, etc... you can stream it from devices like aTV. If they still offer it, there is a 5-day free trial so you can be in-and-out for laurel canyon... however, there are a number of other quite good series that i have stayed around for... pennyworth, belgravia, deep state.

there is a 4-part series on punk rock that is in the queue

This is a poor a bourbon, sit back and take it all in.

As a mono, and a touch bit noisy, from being recorded with equipment installed in a ‘39 auto - it certainly plays the period.

Oscar Peterson Trio - Night Train - mid 80's Verve Holland pressing - must be all of 60gm's, like a wobble board - perfectly flat, perfect pressing and sounds wonderful. 180gm vinyl is a hoax for audiophools with appendage issues

Wow, how do you play these rectangular LPs on your record player?

My Brinkmann does square/ round 33 and 44 ones, but no rectangulars/ ellipticals [emoji3].

Very loud.

Early take post humous album, I thought was very cool. I forget what pieces were redone on somewhat recent releases like Valley of Neptune. Regardless still worth having from the period
