Just pre-ordered the 10-album bundle due to be released on June 26th.

I already have “Exile on Main Street” as an Abbey Road 1/2-speed remastered version, and it is very good.

This coincides well with having my Butterscotch Tele modded into a Micawber, with brass bridge, neck PAF and a Mojo Tone custom Broadcaster at bridge position. Exciting

Music Matters Jazz, 2-vinyl, 45 rpm Blue Note re-issue. Great sound, but a lots of pops and cracks on the first track. While this is one of my favorite Jazz vinyls, on the first track I prefer the Speakers Corner re-issue.

From the second track onwards the album is simply amazing. Absolutely great sound.

And nice to have a 45 rpm version as well, as they are so easy to play with the Taurus.

I used to detest the 45 rpm vinyls for this very reason. It was just so impractical with the manual belt switch on the Vpi Prime.

But now it’s almost the opposite. As the Taurus is so convenient to use, I enjoy the fact of having the possibility to leverage that capability.

It’s probably also, as I have been cycling a lots during the social distancing. So I’m in excellent shape. Not a bother, as there is less mass to lift from the chair

Agreed. I’m usually very happy with the Speakers Corner and Tone Poet re-issues.

I just ordered some of these Music Matters Jazz releases to test them out. Doubt they will become my regular fare, with shipping €80 a pop in Europe.

Yet another fantastic SpeakersCorner re-issue, better than other versions out. Great clarity, bass, dimensionality and sound-staging.

It’s kind of nice to have the Stones among your background singing groupies when making a record.

The label tells it all, doesn’t it?

the original recording is digital - no doubt the mastering for vinyl is analog

Cafe Blue was recorded at Chicago Recording Company in early 1994 by recording engineer Jim Anderson. It was the first release Barber recorded for Premonition Records. Recorded in 16/48 kHz on a 32-track Otari machine

All I know is this is the best version I have heard to date. It does specifically state on both the description on the site and on the cover that it was Remastered by Jim Anderson from the Original Master Tapes. What the heck else do you have to go by when picking out which albums to purchase? Do I literally have to research all back ground of an album prior to purchasing it? That just really seems deceiving to me. However, on the flip side, it is amazing sounding, by far the best version of this album I have heard.
