I think both are as good as the original pressings. The reissues are clean and super quiet.

I expect the rest of the Back to Black 180g set to be just as good to listen to. Don't hesitate, fun!
Agreed. I have Parallel Lines and just received Eat to the Beat. PL sounds awesome and I'm sure ETTB is just as good.

I thought that album was one of the better albums done by Friday Music. And 45 rpm to boot! Varies from from track to track but overall is a great listen. Some of the Yes reissues I've heard are dreadful (the Rhino a while back that I reviewed for instance) and sounded like horrible digital remasterings. You won't regret ordering it!

This is the first time I'm listening to the LP. On side B is a track sampling from one of my favorite drum and bass artists: Lamb. Love Lou Rhodes' vocals.

Superb album. the re-issue is supposed to be excellent as remastered by Burnie Grundman and has a couple of extra tracks as on 5 LP's vs 4 from the original.

Lucinda Williams, "Down Where The Spirit Meets The Bone". Vinyl. Music is great, surface noise is nil, could use a little more air, probably a little too much digital compression was used.

Hans, to clarify, the music is 'just ok'. Sorry for the confusion.

I do like her cover of Gordon Lightfoot's 'If You Could Read My Mind'. But you will enjoy the sonics. I recently purchased and played Anne Bisson's Portraits and Perfumes, an album of all covers, and while sonically good, didn't reach the same level as Holly Cole here. The presentation on Ms. Cole's LP is much more natural, and she will sound like she's singing in the room with you. Spooky good!

The War On Drugs, "Lost In The Dream". Double record album put out by Secretly Canadian. I've listened to this album a few times over the last couple of months. Great album.
