Re: What Vinyl Do You Have On The Table?
Its good. I have have not bought any Manson since Mechanical Animals. Not as hardcore rock as the earlier albums but plenty dark with dabs of electronic with some blues based rock. Classic summary I read in one review. I agree in the good sense.
" The fading shockmeister and self-proclaimed "god of fcuk" has mellowed into a capable purveyor of greasy soundtracks for sticky-floored strip clubs and spooky barbershops. "
or from Allmusic review
"this time working in a decidedly more blues-influenced vein.. There's still some of the industrial metal backbone that the band developed throughout its career, but even heavier rockers like "Deep Six" and "Warship My Wreck" roll around in dusty tumbleweeds of blues licks, intense percussion, and depraved synthesizers."Source: Technics SP10mk3 - Thales Simplicity II, TW Raven AC-3 - Graham Phantom, SME 3012-R, Exclusive P3,,Linn LP12 - Naim ARO

Re: What Vinyl Do You Have On The Table?
This is the first time i have heard "Tin Pan Alley", on vinyl! It has absolutely left me astounded at what different technicians have done to this tape to butcherise it. I love it on cd but after hearing it on vinyl, nah, all bets are off. I am so stoked the next twelve months are good to go on the black lacquer, this really gives digital a sore bum!!!

Re: What Vinyl Do You Have On The Table?
So far I have listened to 2 albums on this box set & I would buy it on these 2 alone. SRV for me was an eighteen year old that left his home country & set forth to listen to the world.... what a start! This box set is "good"!

Re: What Vinyl Do You Have On The Table?
I got mine from Discog, but it was the only one I saw out there. it is worth a bit of persistence to find this one. as it is an Italian pressing (Black Saint 120 109 1) you will likely find it in Europe. I got mine from Switzerland.
I've had the CD for a long time, a friend just recommended the Lp and so I jumped on it. glad I did.
