It's been a couple of days, just catching up - SpeakerLab Fan gets my "OMG I must have that record award" for Blue Cheer. I've pulled four records and starting a well (we'll see) planned (unusual for me) journey for tonight from Flamenco to Prog in 4 albums. Starting with:

Where to start? Well my run of the mill pressing is one of the best sounding records I have. The MFSL takes Hodgson's vocals to another level without even a hint of sibilance. His piano and Siebenberg's drums are in the room with you. Thomson' bass and everything else is equally improved. I picked this up in mint condition for $30 weekend before last and it's worth every penny. If you come across one buy it.

Don't know about that, but stereophile says that it has a dynamic index of 10, while the CD has a dynamic index of 6. I also read that many new records have different mix versions than their CD counterparts.

Sounds great Steve. It doesn't matter how many times you listen to something like that, there always seems to be something new in there.
