Here is another superb album that is available in MQA-- Gershwin's World. Herbie Hancock is superb (as always) on the piano. 5/5 for sound quality & content

Mike,
For this album, I prefer the regular, non-MQA version. Much more dynamic and alive compared to the MQA version. The MQA version sounds smooth but it is as if they sucked the life out of the music. Truly a surprise as for most other stuff, I tend to prefer the MQA version.

Agree. Had not heard of her before but listened last night and was very pleasantly surprised. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have another one for you... do you all know Lianne La Havas? You may wish to check out two of her albums (both in MQA). The first is entitled "Blood". The other is "Is Your Love Big Enough?" To be clear some tracks I enjoy a lot, others less so but if you choose to listen try "Ghost" and "No Room for Doubt". These are my favorite tracks. "Tease Me" is also great. "Good Goodbye" too... Happy Listening!

Tonight I compared this to the MOFI pressing (below):

Boy, it was close. I preferred the vinyl at the end of the day, but man, it was soooooo close and the detail retrieval and presence of the MQA version was superb. And as with all MQA, no typical digital fatigue.

$7000 Lumin A1 MQA vs $100k vinyl setup (Kronos Pro, Vitus Masterpiece Phono, ZYX Universe Premium, Siltech Royal Signature Phonocable).

Ken (Alpinist) will tell me to bring home the Berkeley REF2 MQA and a Lumin U1.

I'm afraid to.

Mike...I agree it is a great MQA demo album...interesting in that I could not get 'chain of fools ' to play either in Lumin / Tidal or in Roon...!!!strange
