    Do you stream Internet radio?

I often stream Internet radio in my office using my desktop speakers at low volume. Entertaining and relaxing. One of my favorite Internet radio stations is Radio Swiss Jazz.

Re: Do you stream Internet radio?

I don't really as a norm but occasionally there's a local station WSIE on a college campus I tune into on Tune-in. Interesting format, they alternate between Blues and Jazz tracks. What amazes me, the display shows they are supposedly streaming at 128 kbps but their sound quality is so superior to any other stations showing the same rate.

It is fun to find and listen to what stations in other countries play.

Nope. The only time I listen to the radio is when I am driving.

I have a Revo super connect in my bathroom and I often stream internet radio.

Pinguin Radio (Holland), Radio Paradise (US) and Radio Radar (Portugal) are probably the ones I listen to more often.

Absolutely love streaming radio. All kinds of stations, some spectacular. Always streaming at work and if I’m otherwise not totally focused on my stereo at home, I’ll stream.

Here is a 3000 song playlist that I put together largely based on what I consider to the the "best of" Radio Swiss Jazz internet radio station.

    https://open.spotify.com/user/lfinch...g29T0CxHKEjI8X

I then convert the playlist to Tidal using https://soundiiz.com

Tidal is way too clunky for discovering music, managing and building playlists.

If Tidal goes kaput some of you might want to use soundizz to convert your Tidal playlists to Qobuz if that becomes the new standard bearer.

Re: Do you stream Internet radio?

Odyssey, your all over on that playlist. You got a list of up and coming bands. Foreign or domestic. Pop, Rock. How about a Jazz playlist. If its posted on spotify I can grab it and move to Tidal. Thanks.

Owe yea, per the topic, rarely. Quality sucks and it's hard to load the URL into Roon, if I can even find one. I hope Roon works a better point and click connection in the future. If anyone knows and easy way I'm all ears.

    Thanks.

I do now and then. Soma FM has 30+ channels of ad-free music. I've donated to them a few times, because I'm grateful for no commercials.

Re: Do you stream Internet radio?

I listen to it as background music on a Naim Mu-So. As I've pointed out, the Mu-So costs less than 1% the cost of my main system and more than once I've lost track of which is playing since the Mu-So sits between my main speakers.

Classical, Jazz and Bluegrass are the primary genres I listen to on the radio.

I prefer the radio selections from Naim over what's available with the Aurender N10.

When my wife's health was failing, she would listen to the radio for hours using headphones. I would hear this strange sound and it would be her singing along with the music. I could tell she was doing OK because she would be tapping her fingers. I kept a Naim UnitiServe around so she could listen to the stations available via Naim.
