Note that there is another SHM out there (2013); the OBI shows the "Back to Rock Years..." emblem. It is NOT the same and sonically nowhere near the 2008 with the SHM-CD logo gold sticker.

Found one of the SHM discs on ebay … Looking forward to comparing that to the SACD version. This is one of my favorite Dire Straits albums for sure! I also have on R2R which is amazing from Sonorus using their SHI mastering process.

I have the CD version of Dire Straits’ 1991 album, On Every Street. Vertigo/Warner Bros. Its one of my fav Dire Straits albums. Can't wait to try the SACD.

On every street was already the best recorded Dire Straits album imo, the latest Mofi SACD release sounds more refined, musical and has better low frequency extension.

I had the 1991 and received the MoFi yesterday.
A bit clearer with bit more space around instruments. Vocal slightly larger. The guitar rifts were to further the left of the sound stage.
I would say, for me 5-8% change/better based on playing them one ofter the other.
The end result is I'm glad I purchased the MoFi.
I will probably look for the SHM. I have a couple of other SHM, and they are very good. If you asked me which ones right now I would need to go look through the shelves to see. Agreed on the new series. Never could get into the older series. One of the reasons I like the newer series is Hiroyuki Sanadai's performance. I remember first seeing him in The Last Samurai.
