MSB Reference with Diablo 300
I am contemplating the addition of MSB Reference to my system which is presently Lumin U1 to Diablo 300 (w/dac option) to Revel Salon 2. If I did so upgrade I would bypass the preamp and dac in the Gryphon and just use the amp section of the integrated. Would anyone expect that to result in a significant performance upgrade? I have heard the Reference dac so I am familiar with its sound, just not in my system. I love the sound I am getting now, but upgradeitis being what it is, I had to ask. I have heard Select and Premier, and to me, the Ref is a significant jump from Premier. I would say its probably the sweet spot in MSB line from what I have heard.

Yes...it makes for a BIG improvement. Every demo I've heard where at Altaira was in the system, folks listened, and then the Altaira(s) were removed, and folks immediately demanded the Altaira be put...
Altaira or Gemini CGS on...
