Occasionally I tune in and watch some.
'All Quiet on the Western Front' is one among them.

It's a remake of a remake, sort of, from a totally different perspective; a young German soldier. It was a powerful experience, emotionally grabbing.

* Why am I starting this thread? Because films and documentaries matter.
I'll do my very best to only mention motion pictures and documentaries of high interest, for cinephiles. This one is one of them, Oscar contender.
Some of you might have seen it already. For others subscribing to Netflix; highly recommended. The cinematography, the music score, the acting, the decors, ...all first order. It's like to be there in hell.

"The original novel was written by an actual German soldier who served with the Imperial German Army in World War One. He started the book by explaining that the story "is to be neither an accusation nor a confession, and least of all an adventure, for death is not an adventure to those who stand face to face with it." - Nov 3, 2022

I could write a review (short or long, it don't matter to me) and I could really get into it. But I just won't. Instead I'll just say; take the time and experience it.
