    Better Call Saul

I loved the Breaking Bad series (own the whole series on BD). I don’t know why it’s taken so long for me to get into Saul but so far, we are loving it. Vince Gilligan seems to be bringing the same quality of BB. We are only 9 episodes into season 1 but I bet it only gets better as layers of the story continue to be peeled back like an onion. Who else enjoys this series?

    *No spoilers please.

No spoilers but I enjoy "Better Call Saul" even more than Breaking Bad. It just keeps getting better.

    Better Call Saul

My wife also is enjoying Saul quite a bit more than she did BB. In fact, she really only liked the earlier seasons of BB before Walt got quite ruthless. So far, Saul feels a bit ‘lighter’, I guess, with more humor from Odenkirk.

Both series really just hit the nail on the head as far as storytelling and attention to detail. I particularly like scenes with Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks’ character) - he’s so clever and just “cool”.

I noticed yesterday that each season consists of 10 episodes so I’ll be through the 3 seasons Netflix has fairly quickly; started season 2 last night.

    Re: Better Call Saul

Love better call Saul. The first few episodes were tough to get through as new views are setup for us. Oddly the both main players from breaking are not missed at all for me. In fact it’s better without them I feel. To me Saul , mike and of course Gus are the show and were before too. The lead men annoyed me over time yet the series was excellent overall. If it were not for the three above I don’t think I would have made it through the first few shows.

I am also a BCS fan. My feeling after the first few episodes is that it is laying the foundation for the rest of the series to get very dark, gritty, and interesting.

Agreed. I'm in the same boat. Last seen was episode 4 and this season haven't grabbed me to the chair like the previous. Maybe it gets better, I hope.

I do have to agree and while I love the series, I hope they move the timeline along quicker then they have been and don't drag it along with "fillers" just to extend the series and in the process ruin the flow.
