Great idea! I'd love to have a list of members who are dealers so that I can check for one here first!

Re: Audio Dealers
My status as a Sound Lab dealer has been in my signature since day one on this forum. I became a dealer not because I expected to make a lot of money, but because of my enthusiasm and absolute belief in the product's ability to satisfy my desire for natural sounding music. Having been seduced, it made sense to be able to buy at wholesale, and help fellow audiophiles towards the light. When I speak (write) in glowing terms of Sound Labs, it is not as a shill, but as a true believer, even evangelist! I encourage AS members to come visit and experience SL's for themselves. Wine always included!

Re: Audio Dealers
I would like to thank all dealers for identifying themselves. It gives me the knowledge that you have probably tried what ever you are talking about. You have feedback from your customers. In your respective lines you are the specialist.
I would give consideration to a dealer on AS when purchasing.

Re: Audio Dealers
Ha ha...MEEEE TOOO! My parents thought I was running a mobile DJ business..which I did but mysteriously all income went back to buying more gear. MY GF thinks I am trying to start a store..
I tune rooms for the hi-fi shows at RMAF, Newport, and The California Show, and CES. As a dealer I would shoot myself in the foot telling people everything- (the good and the bad about a product) so I would likely never make it as a dealer. Closest I'll ever get is selling off the Audio show demos (which is how I get paid in product- By Chapman Audio Systems, MIT, DH Labs, pretty much whatever stuff I set up to make the magic happen)....and as a result I always have too much gear. Selling the demo stuff, covers my show costs, and I end up with some extra- mostly it's just fun to see the traveling band of audio gypsies that do the shows. Similar to when i was doing sports competitions.
I also get flown around as a system tuner (pretty much I just micro adjust everything - might swap some stuff in or out) - which is really fun...except ...sometimes- the audiophile's wife erases some of my improvements.
Weird skill... I thought anyone with ears has it... but they don't. You should hear the painful sound I hear in a lot of room at many audio shows.....and this is the best the industry has????
Most audio shows people tell me I have one of the top 5 rooms at any price and often top one in my price tier. The fun thing is... if I want to buy any audio piece for a room , sometimes the manufacturers give me free reign.... so it's buying with zero anxiety.
I suppose once all my audio systems are done..DJ, Infinity reference standards, Home theater, car audio, outdoor and portable...
I will have to start a new hobby.
I live in Laguna Beach California

Re: Audio Dealers
Guys,
I thought I'd use this thread as a "re-introduction", since I've been a member for a while now, but only recently came to "the other side"
The story is that a good friend of mine here in Brazil is moving out of the country, and asked me if I'd like to help him with his local (brazilian) audio import business.
Since I like the way he does business, and his brand lineup, I thought I'd add another business to my list, so I accepted it!
Now I'm responsible for an importer of hi-end audio gear in Brazil, called German Audio. Why this name? Well, it started with mostly german brands, but since he eventually branched out to other companies, but kept the name... And now, 5 years later, it's a little bit late to change it, as the brand is widely recognized here...
I hope to keep participating here, just as I always did!
Thanks,
Alexandre
