It's the mc 611's driving the Blades. With the Hegel h360 they needed some volume for the bass to come to life. The mc611's off the 4 ohm taps (only option I tried) not just woke the speakers up but added a good measure of detail even at low volume with the meters bouncing around .6 of a watt

I was about to change my speakers because they sounded flat and boring and low volume until my dealer sent me home with a different amp. It was hard to believe I was listening to the same speakers.

These days of web searching a 3 year bump isn't all that unusual. I'v been considering trying the 801D4 with my mc611's and the comments on this thread me reconsidering. Are the 611's not up to the task or are the comments more personal in nature? If the 611's can handle the 801d4 and drive them...

The Perlisten S7t are one of those designs that manage great performance without costing as much as a house.

The shop that carries PSB near me gets excellent sound from the speakers and makes it difficult to justify spending more.

The f52 sounded great in my room also, the tweeter didn't have the delicate resolution of the salon 2, but in my system at the time the f52 sounded much better with my middle of the road components.

Mine ran loud enough to have leo knocking on my door way too often and I was using a Realistic sta-235b, 55wpc receiver!
