    What Is Dirac up to?

the person who buys a denon likes to have as much functions build inside as possible, and this is more for the mass consumer market. But all these functions have a price, the whole amp are made of cheap components, like resistors, capacitors and the trafo For better stuff you need other...

    What Is Dirac up to?

An amp with Dirac in a Denon, is still a Denon. There are far better brands and Dirac doesn't bring it close to the others. That having said a high-end amp with far too much bass is very unpleasant, but a low-end Dirac receiver is in my opinion not the right way to get a high-end sound.

    Streaming vs CD’S

SACD is on paper amazing, sadly in practical they use a cheap plastic dvd mechanism. This is the reason I use a normal cd player with a Philips mechanism and laser. If the disc is right, the sound quality is excellent. Second problem, there are not many SA-CD’s on the market.

    Streaming vs CD’S

Are there somewhere databases with good hi-res cd‘s? For me it is pure luck. Albums I eager to listen are so damned disappointing, and some I didn‘t expect anything sound amazing. So difficult to pick the right Recordings

    Streaming vs CD’S

Many audio cd's also have problems and sound very poor. An example: Meet the Eels from Eels. It sounds like something went wrong at production.

I didn’t think anything would replace my Aurender…

What is more worse then not selling? Some customers ask a few times a week for support and take all your spare time. When you think now they are quiet, 2 months later that phone rings again, and this goes on and on and on🫣

For a few hundred dollar you can buy a 5.1 home cinema set instead and the poverty problem is solved 🤣

    Tariff implications.........

You know the price of ink is higher then gold? They do everything to use more ink, like cleanings every time before printing. But don’t worry HP has something new: the cartridges are not for sale anymore and delivered for a monthly fee. A kind of mobile phone business model, for something that...

    Tariff implications.........

It would be nice how the prices will develop over the long and short future and where the audio gear is made in future. At this moment, all the tariffs are not settled yet, the balance is not clear and all the shops have still a lot of stock which is available for the old price. What doesn't...

    Tariff implications.........

After me the deluge. What is your source? In my opinion this is not true and only made by people as an excuse not to do a damn thing about emissions and continue and even increasing the burning of oil and gas. The consequences are serious, for my country a rise of a sea level by multiple tens...

    Tariff implications.........

If there are quality, safety and branding issues with some Chinese crap, isn’t it better to block all those wrong goods instead of tarrifs?

Is Class A still the king of tone?

I am very happy with my hypex Nilai class D monoblocks. Difficult to compare with others: because there is also a bryston preamp, but in my room this combo sounds really well for a reasonable price. The only thing I have against it: there is no button for treble bas correction: when this is...

Not everything in China is crap. 2 examples: The electric car industry is the biggest in the world, with brands like BYD, XPeng, Geely and Nio. Regarding to batteries, they are the number one in the world. In mobile phones they have Xiaomi and Oneplus, absolutely wonderful smartphones.
