System Configuration
STEREO:
OPPO BDP-105 Dedicated XLR Stereo output DIRECT to ATC mains XLR input using CANARE I/C's
SURROUND:
INTEGRA DHC 80.3 XLR Pre Out DIRECT to ATC mains XLR input using Goertz TQ2 I/C's
Switching between Stereo and Multi consists of just plugging in the I/C's required at the speaker end only.
This gives me the BEST performance for stereo and it's a very simple procedure to switch to surround mode as required.
Use the ME stereo pre as it matches better with the ME power for the rears. The ME 850 power has an input impedance of only 2 Kohms.
The integra has an output impedance of 47 Kohms
The ME pre however has an output impedance of only 2 ohms!!!
Not an issue for ATC's as their input impedance is 10K ohms
