Thanks for the update, I also have the Almarro, which I swapped out during the summer with a red wine audio amp to reduce the heat. I love the red wine amps, but putting the Almarro back in service this fall was a very nice upgrade! Tubes definitely...

There’s just something about tubes and especially a well done tube amp that brings magic to music. There are a lot of great solid state amps and some come really close or can be better in certain areas, but tubes rule.

In my opinion, it's all about balance. More neutral gear for warmer/sweeter sounding speakers and the reverse is true as well. Warmer/sweeter front end for more neutral speakers.

I kind of like seeing new/different combos of gear that I've not experienced in person. Obviously making a final judgement in sound quality from a YouTube video is not prudent, but we can get a good sense.

I love the D'Agostino Momentum gear. I'd love to hear the Progression stuff in person. My understanding from friends who've heard it say that it's more neutral sounding.
