    Isoacoustics Gaia Speaker Isolation

IsoAcoustics makes spikes for good reasons. They provide grip to the floor through carpet just like the rubber bottoms provide grip on hard floors. Isolation is provided internally by back and forth movement when GAIAs are installed with the proper orientation. GAIAs are not passive devices.

    Isoacoustics Gaia Speaker Isolation

Why use marble slabs? IsoAcostics is making new Neo carpet cups with longer spikes to penetrate heavy carpet and padding. I have a set so I know they exist. I am not sure if they have reached the retail marketplace yet.

    Synergistic Research

Get over it. ;) I can't make much sense of Shunyata's technology descriptions either. But their stuff works. That is why I have 7 Sigma-X power cords and two Denali power conditioners. One is a Denali-X and the other will be upgraded soon. I also have an Altaira chassis ground hub and Sigma-X...

    Synergistic Research

A friend and I tried SR interconnects with the "magic bullets" and could not hear any difference when we swapped the bullets. Maybe it was power cords. I met Ted at my friend's home. I complained to him that the SR expensive AC receptacles in my power conditioner would not hold a power cord. He...

    Connecting Aurender to a PC

I use an iPad to control music on my N30SA. I need to use my W11 PC to do some file management. How do I connect? The PC and Aurender are both connected via Ethernet to the same router. I tried "Run" in the search box at the bottom of the screen with the following network information from the...

    VAC amps 6SN7 tube rolling

George how was the sound improved with the SEs compared to the stock tubes in your Statement amps? All VAC amps use the same tubes so I could expect similar results.

    VAC amps 6SN7 tube rolling

George, Thank you for sharing your experience. I now have more confidence in the Sophia Electric 6SN7s. A shame about the KT88s. I understand you can't comment on how they compare to NOS but that works for me because I asked about new production tubes. FYI, Ray Tubes guarantees their tubes for...

    VAC amps 6SN7 tube rolling

George, What level Sophia Electric did you buy? There are 5 levels maxing at $230/tube. 😱 Thank you for the information. I think I will pass on Sophia Electric. I don't like their business model with too many different grades and charging $30/tube to upgrade from a 30-day warranty to a...

IsoAcoustics GAIA III Neo: Serious Engineering

IsoAcoustics is developing a carpet disk with longer spikes for the Neo series. I am not sure when they will become available. I am using a set. They definitely work on thicker carpet and pads.

    MIT going out of business

MIT Cables has a forum on Audioshark with exactly 4 threads started in 2017 and 2018. I find it strange (and amusing) MIT gets more attention when they go out of business than they did when they were "in" business. MIT cables used to be located near me in Northern CA. My local store carried...

    MIT going out of business

I used MIT cables way back when. I always hated the annoying "boxes" on the interconnects. It made the mess behind my rack even worse. Now I use Shunyata X-series cables with annoying boxes.
