Much inspiration can be found within here. I thought about MSB, I heard a fully optioned MSB Select 2, but in the end I decided to stay with Esoteric. You can't go wrong with either.
What happens if by accident you sit on the iPad, do you get a Vol+ runaway and blow up a speaker?
I'm paranoid about that happening after previous misadventure. The only way I control volume is to rotate the volume knob on the pre-amp by hand.
The guy who bought two P20's and they both arrived DOA was probably unlucky then. Blame it on FedEx despite no damages to the box. Easy. And all the others. The 120V models do seem to be more resilient than the 240V models, I would agree with that....
I disagree. As a PS Audio product owner and follower of the community forums for 20 years, including forum community leader status for about 7 years, the forums are full of reports of stuff that doesn't work properly. Many many hundreds,...
I had PS Audio PPP, P3, P5, P10, P15. They all failed. I haven't owned P20 but I know of others who have had issues and ended up selling them. Those in 240V land do seem to have far more issues than 120V. The PS Audio forums are full of defect...

Good, but man, after you hear the 860v2, it’s no going back. I really like the 760A footprint. It doesn’t quite have the big sound and sense of effortless power of the 860v2, but in a small to medium room, great.

Not at this time. Stand mounts don’t sell as easily. Not big movers as a whole. Most people would just spent a wee bit more and get the 804D4’s IMO.

Until you’ve truly heard an AAA pressing, it might not be clear. Take for example, the album Mike played for me on his new Kuzma Stabi R - Lee Morgan, Cornbread. This pressing was from the master tapes. It was beautifully pressed. A 1958...
Being a digital guy, I don't understand why people bother with analog at all. I'm yet to hear any recording on vinyl that excites me enough to take much notice. Although the new Grandioso T1 does excite me on pure eye candy value alone. And I do...
Yeah, me too. I always struggle past the first minute. But the "meet the best power conditioner" episode caught my attention. I quickly skipped through it then spoke to my dealer. It turns out my dealer sells Stromtank but he felt it wouldn't be a...
We use SAIA almost exclusively. They should call you to arrange delivery. If you have the BOL, call them and try to schedule a time now.

And today I was talking to the Shunyata distributor about upgrading Denali 6000/S v1 to Everest 8000. I'll put those thoughts on hold for another three hours, see what comes of this YT video.
Jeff nails it. Great read.
Mc Wood blocks.
A Mc AM/FM tuner in 2022. seriously? AM??
But now this steaming turd is a complete embarrassment to the entire industry.
An empty box for $1500.
You all out there wondering why Mc isn’t...
This is $14.

Nice job. The new tweeter is longer and “sunk into” the cabinet to run flush with the new cabinet. We are definitely getting a pair. I want the active version sans streamer.

Nah, P1. I mentioned earlier that P1X was announced a week after I bought P1. So now having ordered D1X I expect Esoteric will announce D1XS next week.
To my ears, the 340i is the sweet spot and the value play. The 600 and 700 bring more power and refinement. The 700 makes a statement visually and sonically, but at a significant premium.

The Esoteric distributor in Australia is also the Shunyata Research distributor. With my D1X order might get some leverage to borrow an Omega Clock-50 and see how it compares with my Sigma v1 Clock-50 (of which I have three). Just a theoretical...
When D1X/P1X was first released the earlier adopters were, apparently, D1/P1 owners. Yet there wasn't a flood of used D1/P1 come onto the market that I saw (I only saw one pair of D1 advertised locally and from memory the owner was asking $7K USD...
I don’t know those Mc pieces, so a little hard to comment. A 2500 is a better reference for me. I always found the 2500 veiled compared to say a VAC Ren V. We took a 2500 on trade for a VAC pre.
If I was shopping in that budget: Pass XP12...
Maybe. Except I already have the Grandioso transport which would become redundant with K1X/PS1 and would be a tough sell on the used market. N01XD was another option but I decided on D1X. I think I am the first D1X owner here, right? I've asked if...
Tone? That sounds like a sweet little Jadis integrated or something to me.
But then again, with the current state of tube availability, the 866 might be a good way to go.

When I created the special forum for the magazines to post LINKS to their reviews and perhaps even interact with subscribers (a great suggestion from Jeff at SoundStage), everyone was pleased and thanked me for doing so….except Stereophile….their...
The DAC in the 866 does not outperform the LaScala IMO. It’s good, but the LaScala is very special and still my favorite standalone dac under $10k.
Do you find yourself needing more power than the INT-60?

Since we’re the American Distributor for Block Audio, we probably won’t be competing with ourselves.
They are $350 if you’re getting them with the top of the line Furutech outlets built in.
Otherwise:

No triple. They do make a double, but it’s for a small power cable. Best to stick with single only. There isn’t room for the C-Lock and more large outlets.
