    MIT going out of business

For what it's worth, the shortened MIT 2 bi-wires sound better than others I compared them to last night. More clarity would describe it. Whether they would have sounded even better at triple the length cannot be known now as MIT tech support is no longer.

    MIT going out of business

Strictly for esthetic reasons as the new monoblocks sits alongside each speaker so I had an extra 8 feet per side of extra cable.

    MIT going out of business

Purchased a set of MITerminator 2s in the late 90s. After that I stopped buying monster products. Pulled them out of storage a couple weeks ago to run a couple monoblocks to my Martin Logan Quest Zs and decided to cut them down to one meter. Pretty complex wiring inside that tested my soldering...

Am I courting derision and contempt?

Great modular design with plenty of capacitance and toroid. The specs claim anywhere for 120 watts/ch to 300/ch depending on which document. Looks like more than 120. They certainly included plenty of closeups of the circuitry. Did you open her up to compare?

Running it now; yes warm it isn't (except for the housing) but very articulate and the sound stage has improved.

HELP, They're installing aluminum wires outside

No; aluminum mains are quite common. Its only weakness is its lack of malleability where repeated flexing will cause a break. This was a problem during the mid 70s copper shortage when aluminum was used in wall and often shorted at the panel or receptacles where the heat expansion at the...

Are you saying you can use its digital passthrough out to an external DAC and still have volume control? I do have a nice Schiit DAC I could try.

Have a friend with a Naim Uniti Atom steamer that sounds great. I like my Bluesound Node Icon for a fraction the price that also integrates with my other Bluesound devices around the house. Both units have built in preamps if needed.

    Well, who’da thunk it…

Is that engineered hardwood floors glued to concrete or true hardwood floors? If the latter; isolating would beneficial, otherwise it's the additional height that did the trick. Always fun to experiment.

    Acoustic panel for flat TV

Not so sure about the "sleek modern design; looks great" part. I want to hang my tools on it. A set of heavy drapes with vallance would do the job and add some theatrical flair should you go with electric retraction.

    Hello

Switching to just about any tube amp will be a game changer. Took me half a lifetime to get a nice tube guitar amp. Great your son won't have to wait.

Audiophiles without a dedicated listening room — what drives you nuts?

Can't imagine what college would accept such a thesis subject. Perhaps Full Sail University in Orlando? Be interested to know.

    Possibly worse than Audiophiles

So with an average price of $400 each (which is low) we're talking forty million dollars...
