    Read solid wood as speaker platforms

    I am seeking input on solid wood eg Maple, Walnut, Rosewood, Mahogany etc etc used as speaker platforms (not particle board with wood veneer). What were you using before and how did solid wood affect SQ? Thank you :rolleyes:
