If audiophiles are willing to spend more than $3000 on an ethernet switch, these stands seem almost reasonable!

I supposed for the avid McIntosh fan, no price is too high for esthetics.

So why are you focused on the price of amp stands? How about $10,000 power cables? The amp stands are chump change in this hobby.

$3500 is pretty pedestrian for amp stands in this market - check out CMS, HRS, etc. But stands that are basically ash wood plus a faceplate? Glue faces? Sustainable materials? Pads for your floor's protection and pleasure? That sounds much more like Ikea w/ a side of meatballs than proper high-end stands. I admire classic Mac amps but the product line seems frenetic lately.

So that is a different argument. Now we are going to focus on the quality of the stands you get for the money.

Each have a 3″ (7.62cm) thick wood slab to firmly hold the gear.

This should be enough to let us know the quality. Doesn't matter what kind of wood as long as it is 3" thick. Might be Pine

One of the most effective "stands" you can put your gear on: Aptitlig bamboo cutting board. Three layers of bamboo with the grain running in alternating directions: horizontal, vertical, horizontal. Bamboo is regarded as one of the best materials to use as it's structurally dense with excellent energy tranmission as well as mechanical damping properties.
