how are you finding the tweeter? Does it need a little taming?

I REALLY like Kimber and Siltech.

    What's your budget?

Exactly. Tweeters need taming and than sum....Especially with voices in the high range, needs smoothing and rounding. Bass is pretty good.

I don't like to spend much on cables but some decent around 200-300$ I could live with. I'm thinking of doing what Chuck Hinton suggested, 1 pair from 2ohm tap to the tweeters and 1 pair from 4ohm tap to the bass for each speakers.

That supposedly decreases the high/mids by 2db which also allows the bass to shine more.

    What do you think?

Siltech. The silver/gold metallurgy can help to tame them. But that's above your budget.

Kimber won't tame that tweeter, but it's a good cable.

    Check out the Siltech 90L.

If you want to add some meat on Mid range and tame the tweeter , Look for some used "Purist Audio Design" Cable.

    Re: 452 or 601's

    Mike

In one of Stanley's posts he was talking about two separate pairs and then $200-300. If that is total for both pairs and talking about any sort of distance that becomes extremely limiting. "Warmer" cables I have used in the past were some of the Analysis Plus cables and the lower line WW cables like Luna 7. Farther up both companies lines they move more to the neutral point.
Main - JVC QL-Y7/Denon DL-301 Mk II, Gold Note PH-10, Jays CDT3 Mk3 , Auralic Aries G2.2, Holo May KTE, Supratek Cabernet, Kinki Studio EX-B7 monoblocks, Verity Audio Otello, (2) Rythmik F12SE, Audio Envy IC, SC & PC's, Triode Wire Lab PC's, Inakustik USB and I2S, (2) Puritan Audio Labs PSM-156 with Groundmaster City, Timbernation rack

Family Room - Oppo UDP-203, Auralic Aries, Aqua La Voce S3, Kinki Studio EX-M1+, Nola KO, (2) Rythmik F-12G, Wireworld SC & IC's, Neotech PC's, SurgeX SA-1810

Greenville, SC- Jays CDT2 Mk 3, Auralic Aries G1, Holo Spring 3 KTE, Supratek Chardonnay, Odyssey Audio Kismet Reference, Rosso Fiorentino Volterra 2, (2) RSL Speedwoofers, iFi Audio Power Station, Wireworld IC's, Inakustik USB and I2s, Triode Wire Lab SC, Triode Wire Lab PC's, Furutech NCF Clear Line, Timbernation rack.

    452 or 601's

    Guys

My many apologies. I don't think the problem is with the speaker cables, it's either the Oppo 105D dac or the interconnect XLR cable from the Oppo to the C2500.

I listened to the exact same album ( photo below) stored on the olive 1 streamer, passed onto the C2500 via USB or coax and there's no harshness at all whatsoever even at very high volumes.

But the same album listened via CD mode using the 105D, the harshness is very present.

    What do you guys think?

Chuck Hinton told me their amps are underrated by 25% to 33%.. I noticed he had a slight grin on his face when he told me. So enjoy your amps.
