Joe I wonder how those would sound with a pair of subwoofers?

Re: MBL Radialstrahler 120 loudspeaker
Need some big, expensive amps to drive them! I've always wanted to hear a pair of MBLs or German Physiks omnis. Need to get to Munich Hi-Fi show one of these days.

These MBL 120s are fantastic. Agree with Ken (above), huge musical presentation for the $.

Re: MBL Radialstrahler 120 loudspeaker
So between these and the Kharma DB9s which one is the better option?

Re: MBL Radialstrahler 120 loudspeaker
Both excellent. Would use for different implementations. The Kharma is larger and has a fuller bottom end impact. The MBL has a holographic musical presentation with a somewhat limited bottom. So, selection would be room dependent and budget driven since they are at different price points.

Re: MBL Radialstrahler 120 loudspeaker
While I've heard other MBL's and really enjoyed them I've yet to hear these. Regardless calling a $23,000 stand mount speaker with limited bottom end and specific amplification needs an 'excellent bang for the buck' is rather comical in my book.
Cheers ! …. Dave

Re: MBL Radialstrahler 120 loudspeaker
The most impressive stand mount speaker I've heard to date in the $20k range was the Thrax Lyra. Just unreal range and sound, and in a large room.

Re: MBL Radialstrahler 120 loudspeaker
Driven by the Noble integrated these absolutely fill my 16x26 room. Never felt the need to try to integrate subs, even though there's a pair sitting right there for the 5.2 system. Best thing is they play well with all genres, from scuzzy indie like Fontaines DC and Little Barrie to the most refined classical and horn-spitting jazz.
