Wow! Pretty complicated construction! I wonder how many design/manufacturing iterations they went through during development? Seems like lots of potential issues as the speakers age (glue drying out and ribbons or rubber surrounds getting loose, etc.). No wonder they're so expensive! Regardless, hats off to MBL engineers for a truly magical transducer!

A friend in our audio club has a pair... along with MBL amplifiers and pre-amplifier and spinner. AMAZING... I see how fantastic of an engineer Wolfgang is and I absolutely love my MC speakers. They are a more conventional design he came up with after he sold MBL. I cannot believe what a fantastic monitor speaker I fell in to. They are just fantastic, and since they are not imported into the US you could not pry them out of my hands (unless a KEF Reference was involved). Hey , I am not crazy....
