They look like Magico S5 mk 2 drivers in a rectangular box. I bet they will sound good.

    Re: a-subs

I haven't had the chance to hear them. If they are close to the Qsubs, these are a steal. And from what I've heard from the other A series speakers, I bet they are close to the QSubs.

    Re: a-subs

    thx for your thoughts.
my knowledge about subwoofers is very low. had one about 20years ago and removed it after a couple of monthes.
i have a wilson sabrina on order, going down to 31hz,....so checking out subwoofer options.
wilson itself have the watch-dog subwoofer in the program, passive.
2 of them plus dedicated amplification is too much money, not only for me but also somehow relatively to main speakers.
what would one think, a ported speaker with a sealed sub?
funny in the contraversial way, normaly i praise wilson for they bass and magico for the rest.

    Re: a-subs

I used to have a pair of watch dog subs.

Excellent subs. Wilsons analog controller was really cool.

Until Magico came out with the Qsubs the dogs were the best subs that I had heard. Not hearing the Asubs - it would not surprise me if they weren't better than the dogs. Magico A series is just such a great value.

    Re: a-subs

    thx, very useful answer!
yes, the a series seems great value, even with the european penalty.
i was considering the a5 and that could have probably even saved me the subs
