    New SPODS for my S3MK2

Received today SPODS for my S2MK2 - got to say i was skeptical regarding the contribution such a device can make to sound, never the less i ordered them about a month ago.
Arrived earlier today, and took a couple of minutes to replace the original footers with the SPODS.

I can only say my skepticism was gone very fast - surprise, they do work
The sound is clearer (up and button octaves), i can get to a very disturbing volume and the sound is crystal clear.

If you have Magico S series, do yourself a favor, and try the SPODS as they do a great job taking very good speakers and making them even better.

    * My home floor is made from ceramic tiles over concrete.

I have mine on S3 for many years and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Same holds true for the Magico A series. I thought the cost of the APods was dubious at best. Once installed I experienced the dichotomy of sharper focus without any harshness and a more relaxed listening experience. I don't know why these things are an option, they should be included standard.

Thank you all for the kind words.

The advanced Magico spike cost is a direct result of costly materials and a complex production process.
If they were included in your speaker the base price of an already costly speaker would rise up (look at what happened to M series since Mpods become mandatory).

    I agree.
If I made a product and put it on the market, I would try that everyone perceived it in its best performance. At least in the aspects that I could control, the ones that depend on me, of course.

Imagine buying a Ferrari with retreaded tires.
And the brand said: tires, each one put the ones they want...If you want performance and safety you sould spend a lot more.

And then you will complain about the high cost of the speakers...
BTW, Ferrari does not put the best available tires on their base cars either. In fact, a base Ferrari comes with hardly anything in it but the engine. They call it "options" which in a Ferrari can cost as much as the base car, LOL

    1. Even in Ferrari you have plenty of extras you can upgrade your car with after-market or original options.
    2. Cupeling devices such as SPods are great on some surfaces and less stellar on others - let buyers make their own decision and not buy something they don't need.
3 If the price wouldn't be changed, then yes why not. Unfortunately, this is not reality - look at what happened with M series price increase after MPods stopped being options and become mandatory.

I think that was more a function of customer demand. I heard that just about every pair of M3 sold was ordered with the optional Mpods. Keeping the Mfeet in the inventory didn't make sense if virtually every pair of M3 left the factory sitting on Mpods.
