the one on the right has to be a high-excursion sub-bass driver. The massive motor, overhung VC and over-sized half-roll surround are giveaways.

New Q Series successor Sub called Titan.

Rather than calling it just M Sub.

    Re: Magico Titan

I remember reading an interview with Alan in which he talked about the benefits of using aluminium for the speaker body. In that interview he mentioned that there is even better material - titanium, but it would be too expensive to use.
So looking at the title - Titan - moving up the Q... makes me think about the possibility of a new Q series.

Interesting. But, that would give Magico 4 speaker lines.

Unless , M series is getting so expensive that there will be a new Q series.

That sits between S and M.

But, my guess is still with a new sub called Titan.

Titan sounds like the name of a subwoofer. Kind of like Wilson’s Thor’s Hammer.

    Re: Magico Titan

Looking at the QSUB driver, this Titan teaser photo does look like an upgraded iteration of that. My guess is they will drop the 18 inch QSUB and do a 12 inch and 15 inch with new driver technology. "Q" in the teaser would suggest traditional Q aluminium construction.

    Re: Magico Titan

I don’t think it has anything to do with the Q series. Isn’t “Q“ a designation or measurement for dampening or resonance? I think it’s a new generation of subwoofers. The Q line is more or less discontinued.

I think the photograph shows the new generation on the right and the old generation on the left.

    Re: Magico Titan

    Possibly a double-double entendre vis Q Rating

The Q Score (popularly known as Q-Rating) is a measurement of the familiarity and appeal of a brand, celebrity, company, or entertainment product (e.g., television show) used in the United States. The higher the Q Score, the more highly regarded the item or person is, among those who are aware of the subject.

    TITAN-15 - it's the replacement for QSUB-15 - "Moving up the Q" (to Titan).

Magico continues to be an industry leader in producing cutting edge world class subwoofers. Very impressive that they continue to push the envelope even when they already had arguably the best subwoofers on the market with the Q15 and Q18.

It seems to have inherited the same DSP and I/O module as the SSUB and QSUB.

    Yes, my mistake. Fixed. Thanks!

The change that stands out the most to me is the driver construction. 1.6" linear excursion is crazy, assuming it is equal to or roughly equal to the Xmax. Which it could be given the 4" long voice coil. (I'm assuming it is 4" long, and not 4" in diameter.)

As an absolute minimum it should be 4” in diameter… maybe even 5.

    i like this one......

Funk Audio - 18.2 Custom Order

and own three of these in my Home Theater room.....

    Funk Audio - 18.0

only if we are talking ultimate subwoofers, and not just big brutes, the Funk Audio is doing some amazing things. they are all hand made including the drivers. and they are not one trick ponies, they are very nuanced and musical.

M3. Immense sense of space and ease, better imaging, and of course, tremendous low end (I cut them at 50Hz). I find myself listening to organ music often. I never really liked organ before.
