Magico M6’s
Jay’s not got much experience with Magicos yet, but they need about 500 hrs.
I owned three pairs.

Magico M6’s
Hi Jay, excellent channel. Most audiophile YT channels are mostly all talks when it comes to ultra high end, but you actually do the walk.
BTW you’ve gotta try Everest + Omega Ethernet or USB or AES (whatever you use) if you haven’t already.
Also, I knew it was Gryphon and not Boulder when you and Mike said new amp.

Re: Magico M6’s
Jay,
I just recently discovered your YT channel and am a big fan of your efforts.
Congratulations on a number of different levels, but principally for sharing your wonderful journey and for giving us another reference on which to tether our own musical explorations.
Honest, competent opinions based on direct experience under controlled conditions on a variety of higher tier equipment is so hard to come by. I definitely appreciate those gifts when offered. Thank you again. Keep up the good work!

Re: Magico M6’s
Nothing new here
The dCS vs. MSB comparison has been done many times
Some here have even owned both....so no axe to grind either way.
How can u compare when the dCS is colored not only by itself but with all the cables it takes to hook it up??
Get an Extreme server and then come back with something slightly interesting regarding file source"We all know real when we hear it"

Congrats Jay on the new Reference DAC. I’ve been so happy with my Select II DAC. It blows me away every time I listen to it. The Reference DAC will also get you up there in the Stratosphere sonically.

Re: Magico M6’s
Jay,
Glad you got to hear the fully tricked out Extreme at Mike’s place with the TAS software, Taiko usb driver AND the Taiko USB card. Your reaction said it all!
I’ve been listening to the Taiko Extreme with the TAS software and Taiko driver sans the USB card and it’s the best digital I’ve ever heard in my room by far. The emotional immediacy of the artist just reaches out an touches you.
Can’t wait for Vincent at Totaldac to upgrade the reclockers so the Taiko USB card can work with my totaldac system (DAC plus amps). NOW...THAT will be something.
Continue the amazing journey Jay!

Re: Magico M6’s
If you follow my channel, you should have seen the first images of both DACS sitting next to each other. Also, after speaking to high profile youtuber, he suggested i use this shootout as means to get me to the 5,000 subscriber mark which is something he has done to get to north of 40k subscribers himself. With that said, the shootout will happen once i reach 5,000 subscribers. I will promote the upcoming shootout on my future videos (please dont complain or get desperate).
Once we have arrived at 5,000 subscribers, we will commence the showdown between 2 highly regarded dacs.
All i ask is for you all to do your part and share my channel with your friends and over other platforms (facebook, instagram, ). If you visit other forums/sites, etc, please help spread the word. I am not asking for a dime, but rather just to do a small part. Can we hit 5k subscribers by the end of the month? i think so!
Thanks for the support guys. I couldn’t do this without you all!My youtube channel: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL...1wNOTpMvfFvzgb
