Me. Not a good match. VAC is a way better match.

Mike any particular VAC model you have in mind. Open to SS amp that is on the more musical and detailed side I.e., did not care for the constellation sound paired with M3.

    VAC makes awesome stuff.

I'd be real hard pressed to purchase anything ARC with the recent company and tube availability issues they are suffering from.

I’m hearing CAT amps and in particular the pass lab and gryphon may pair well.

Narrowed it down to Gryphon Antileon EVO and Luxman M10x mono. Would appreciate any insight please. Sound like the Evo being described as the SS with tube like character is really appealing to me just don't want it to be too laid back/slow sounding.

Re: M2 and Tube amp ARC 160

I only heard the 10x at a show with Magico M series. I didn't find it lively nor matching the comments on how Lux is supposed to sound.

Curious why moving from Krell and what amp? If you are trying to get that type of dynamics have you thought of D'agostino?

Interestingly I heard Constellation with A5's and didn't find it a good match. Not bad I just heard Magico sound better. The sound fell more to the cool end of the spectrum.

I've only heard Gryphon with other speakers than Magico. Hard to imagine what that combo might sound like.

My M-10X stereo experience driving Magico S3 MkII's has been very positive (coming from a Diablo 300). Very refined. Dynamics not lacking.
Redphu, you are choosing between two excellent options. I think the EVO will likely give a warmer sound.
