S Mark 3 line with the S7 skipping the v2 going right to ver 3:-)

New mid-range from M9 and A5 are probably certain as well as massive price increase for sure.

    Looking forward to this announcement.

    Re: Coming soon from Magico

Hard to say but based on the photo my first thought was a Magico/SONOS collaboration. LOL

More trickle down from the M9 R&D? Maybe the new design A5 midrange driver massaged to pair with the diamond/beryllium tweeter in a 3-way design? Can't stand still in Magico's part in the audio ecosystem.

    Re: Coming soon from Magico

Definitely S Series but which one? An update of an existing model or an entirely new one? The best part is that it should have those new Carbon Graphene - Aluminum Honeycomb sandwich drivers that are in the M9 and A5. Every new model they add those cones to is a huge win.

I thought Alon said S7 Mk1 was the end of the road for S7?

To me it looks like Magico will be giving us a color option for M-series.

    Re: Coming soon from Magico

It's most likely a new model speaker. Maybe an S-series replacement with enclosures made from carbon fiber. The side view of the front plate looks like traditional aluminium billet CNC machining similar to M and Q. But I don't see how they would make the tie rods work with that triangular enclosure shape. Whatever it is I hope it's not the new M3Mk2.

M series have a carbon side wall, could not imagine anyone painting that blue (fully Blue carbon yes offcourse), must be S series.

Looks like S5, S3 was a one peace cabinet before (except top/bottom)

M3 had the carbon side wall. M2 is different, it has the one piece carbon enclosure minus a lot of the internal metalwork, right? I think the distributors know what it is, they just aren't giving away any clues. Painting the carbon would result in a lower rejection rate, and maybe less labor intensive? Having a color choice would be appealing to some. It would make sense to do M3Mk2 with color option. M3 being the oldest M thus first due to be refreshed.

    Re: Coming soon from Magico

I've been told it's not something I'd likely be interested in. So thankfully it's not M3Mk2. S3 was my Magico starting point. S3 in carbon with M9 trickle down driver technology would be a killer product.

    Re: Coming soon from Magico

Can't imagine just one speaker S3 mark 3 and let the rest of the S line doesn't get announced at the same.

Further, perhaps there will be enough "changes" to this line that the S line will be re-branded to another letter ala Q to M series.

In that pic, the spine of the darker could be some use of carbon fiber. So, maybe enough changes to warrant the rebranding of the current S line.

That way, it starts every former S speaker including the S7 on a same level. Avoiding the Mk3 version in the name.

    Re: Coming soon from Magico

    Maybe it's the new C3.....

S-series started with 3. M-series started with a 3. Maybe C-series will also start with a 3. In a carbon fiber enclosure with machined aluminium front plate, and honeycomb driver cones trickled down from M9. Sit it on 3 x C-pods.

    The new S3.

That will probably kill the current S1/S5/S7 sales, but they are too busy building the A5s anyway, so probably don't care. I bet they will be launched in Munich and the S1/S5 will follow a year later.

Are you sure Apple didn't perfect that marketing approach? Apple's famous 1984 commercial. Followed by decades of speculation on what would be announced at Apple events.

It’s the 11th here! I honestly have no clue. People are getting me thinking with different ideas - maybe M1? S8 in lieu of S7 mk2?

I’m sticking with my original guess above.

If this new speaker isn’t an M1, I wonder if a M1 will happen? Could be incredible.
