New Luxman d-10x sacd/cd-player

Interesting cosmetic change. If this is the new look then I expect the m900 and c900 to be updated shortly as well.
 
Also interesting that this unit does not have the "ultimate" designation
 
Every aspects (chassis, transport mechanism, internal clock, analog section, powersupply section ... etc) of D-10X have been improved and should surpass the D-08u for sure.

However the most interesting new feature is that it employs a new dac chip : the ROHM MUS-IC BD34301EKV :

For the new dac chip ROHM BD34301EKV, it's said that it surpasses the other brands such as ESS90x8, particularly in terms of richness and musicality.

Thanks for posting this. I've been wondering what this DAC is about since I read about this new Luxman.

I own a Luxman D-08u. It is absolutely AMAZING. So, I can only imagine what a D-10X sounds like. Congrats on what I'm sure is an excellent DAC and SACD player.
 
I’m truly looking forward to seeing/hearing this new d-10x.

I really want a new dac but still have a bunch of CDs. It looks like the dac function could be wonderful.

I've secured one - delivering in August! I was flip flopping between this and the Esoteric K-01XD and the MQA feature tipped the scale. Thanks Mike for answering all my questions on Roon via USB, hard wired vs Roon Ready/Roon Tested. Cheers!
 
Jerry, I'm in the same boat as you. These are my two top contenders for my final player end point. I am currently using a ModWright Marantz player which is very good, but the new Luxman has me wondering. Please keep us posted on your thoughts moving forward.
